I like the fact that with the sky top, and for those that live in changing climates, you wouldn’t need to deal with the hassle of changing and storing the soft and hard top twice a year.

I have had 7wranglers lifetime and the sales rep I deal with is a friend of mine. .. one thing you missed the mark on is the side windows out that a conventional hard top lacks and mopar learned their lesson with the liberty an sky top has so much more structural integrity than the liberty and if you read the forums .. noone is having any issues ... Mine came w the sky and sound package ... Alpine stereo w factory 14 in subwoofer... What roof sound issue ... Love it

I have the sky top on my 2021 Rubicon, opening and closing in motion is another advantage.

Honestly even with the speed being within the same ball park, it’s so much better with the sky top because you don’t need to get out at all. That convenience is amazing for only 2-4k especially compared to 7k ish for the C8 automatic top

The price depends on the trim level. 4,200 for the lower level packages its called the sunned sound package. The roof comes with the premium sound speakers. The upper level packages already have the upgraded speakers so you only pay for the roof 2,050.

The best option for me was to get the 3 piece hard top, then bought a Bestop Sunrider to replace the two freedom panels. I can open the Sunrider in seconds compared to spending several minutes removing and storing the freedom panels. This combination cost less than the Sky One Touch top. The sunrider is easily removeable if I want to go back to the freedom panels.

Nice video, how the sky one is doing when driving on the highway? is it more noisy compared to the standard hardtop and also what about the insulation?

It is noticeably noisier and makes the inside hotter/colder than the hard top.

@@lfuqua981 Thanks, I just bought a JLU Rubicon with the sky one, it's amazing how much pleasure it brings by opening up the top. I did not notice more heat as the a/c is strong, lowering the temperature. Yes, driving on the highway is a little noisier but not as much as the Besttop Sunrider I had on my JK.

I have the regular soft top. You need to strap it. Also, the folds never stay as they should on the highway. The folds sag onto the people in the back seat. It's not about the time either...it's about ease and being hassle free. Push a button and you're done.

Your brother only opened the soft top HALF WAY in 14 seconds. The Skytop opened ALL THE WAY in 15 seconds. I am on the fence of buying a 2024 Willys with a Skytop. Good video, but how long does it take to open the Soft top ALL THE WAY? Thanks for the comparison

To put it in perspective, 79 decibels is just about as loud as your average household garbage disposal at 80 dB and much louder than your average vacuum cleaner at 70 dB. So if you enjoy 79db inside of your vehicle get the sky one.

@@NLM Look up Clearlidz front hard top panel. Its a single piece,and resolves the noise issue for hard tops. I have not seen professional testing data for standard hardtop

I don't find it all that loud at all and my other car is an Audi S6 which is super quiet. So by comparrison it's not bad, IMO

The changes in price have to do with the price difference compared to what comes with that trim level stock (soft top, hard top, paint matched hard top).

I have a lot of worrys with this. Looks night but I drive on gravel a lot with my jeep taken apart and the dust coating I get is thick. I have hard sun roofs fail on cars because dust gets in the rails, the sky roof has a lot more rail than a standard sun roof. I would worry this would eventually fail with my driving habbits.

They done this on the Liberty and it failed miserably!!! Yes technology advances, but I see it leaking like a sieve AFTER the warranty is gone, and Chrysler is bad to say “deal with it yourself it’s not our problem” anyways!!!

All good, I get it, I'm literally shopping for a wrangler rubi 4XE. Possibly buying one today. Here in CA. MSRP shows $4195. I'm literally struggling with this 4k decision. Is 4K worth the convenience? I guess it depends if you got F/U money. But for the majority of us, I must deside. If 4k is worth the convenience. If I was handicapped, hell ya. Another way of looking at it. If one finances 4k over 60 months, that's about $80 per month (with interest.) Is $80 per month worth the inconvenience ? Is $80 worth the wow factor? Any words of wisdom from Wrangler dudes ?
