We need many of the Pastors Of Today to understand this very important distinction. Lordship Salvation - Law - and cannot save because it always puts the emphasis back on man and what he’s doing rather than looking to Jesus Christ as our all sufficient Sacrifice!!! The Gospel is good news, sadly today when it’s preached it sounds more like bad news.

I might not be understanding what you're saying, but 'Lordship Salvation' has a few meanings. in the 'reformed' circles, it is not a means of salvation, but evidence. in the 'arminian' circles it's a phrase used to indicate people who believe in a works righteousness legalism. the basic fact is salvation needs to be questioned if that person does not submit to Christ as their Lord.

You have perverted what Lordship Salvation is. It’s simply a byproduct or an expression of this great work did in us and thru us as a result of this great salvation wrought for us by the Lord Jesus Christ! Anything less is a weak, powerless & anemic gospel. Thankfully God doesn’t leave us in the same manner He saved us from.

To reject an idea on the basis that it was written by Luther and you're not a Lutheran is erroneous. For the same reason a non-calvinist can hold to irresistible grace, even though it was postulated by Calvin. I would even say that there are sound doctrines postulated by popes, despite them being Roman Catholic.

We have the HOLY SPIRIT-HE not only guides and gives wisdom but also empowers true (authentic) followers of Christ with authority to make disciples and multiply exponentially. Believers, when and if confused about doctrine, must rely not on man's knowledge, oratorical skills or seminary training but to depend totally on the HOLY SPIRIT. John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. 1 John 2:27 But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie-just as it has taught you, abide in him.

I don't understand why it has to be a dichotomy. Yes it's the law, which points to the gospel. You can't have the gospel without the law. When I read my Bible, I don't ask, is it law or gospel? No, I just say, this is God's word and it's true. I don't understand the purpose.

@@francsiscog if you confuse or mix the two, and put your keeping of the law into the category of how you are justified before God, you have a false gospel. Only Jesus’ keeping of the law for us (along with his death, resurrection, ascension) justifies sinners.
