Evidence of the location in Arabia is overwhelming!
@SpotterVideo5 ай бұрын
The location was important to the Apostle Paul in the passage below. Gal 4:24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. Gal 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. Gal 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. Galatians 4:24-31 contrasts the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai with the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. The same concept is found in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8. We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the new covenant church of Mount Sion and the blood of Jesus in Hebrews 12:22-24. New Covenant Whole Gospel: How many modern Christians cannot honestly answer the questions below? Who is the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Who is the “son” that is the “heir” to the land in Matthew 21:37-43? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary.

I have been struggling with preterism for some time now. What do you think of preterism? How much preterism is too much? As of now, I do think that there is still a Kingdom of God to come. That though we are a "nation" ("a kingdom") rescued from slavery ("sin"), one that already reached and past sinai (zion), we are still wandering through the desert not yet at the promised land (the Kingdom of God, in it's glory, on earth at the return of the King to sit on his father David's throne). Still no resurrection yet, still no immortality gien, still no positions of authority appointed to us.

@@youngknowledgeseeker Hyper-Preterism Unmasked: Is Matthew 10:23 about 70 AD, or is it about Jesus coming as the King to Israel? The answer is found below in Zech. 9:9. Did Jesus "cometh" as the King of Israel riding on a donkey during the week He was crucified? If Matthew 10:23 is about 70 AD, Peter ignored the commandment given by Jesus in Matthew 10:5-7, when Peter went to the house of Cornelius. It did not take the disciples forty years to take the Gospel to Israel. In Romans 1:16 Paul said the Gospel was taken "first" to the Jews. This time period of the Gospel going "first" to Israel is found in Matt. 10:5-23, and Acts chapter 2, and Acts 10:36-38, and Galatians 1:14-18. Zec 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. The Old Covenant age died at Calvary when God ripped the temple veil in half from the top to the bottom at the moment His Son died at Calvary. There is no record in the NT of any person coming to salvation outside of the New Covenant between Calvary and 70 AD. Hebrews 7:12 proves there was a change in the law before 70 AD. We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant Church of Mount Zion and the blood of Jesus in Hebrews 12:22-24. This passage was written in the present tense before 70 AD. If the Hyper-Preterists (Full-Preterists) were correct the Old Covenant age would come back into existence if a temple were rebuilt, and animal sacrifices are renewed. Any basic book on Astronomy proves we are not now living in the "eternal" New Heavens and New Earth, because the sun only has a limited amount of nuclear fuel. We now understand the nuclear reaction inside the core of the sun, because of the testing of thermonuclear weapons. ========= Multiple Second Coming Visions in Revelation: (book not in chronological order ) Christ returns one time in the future. However, there are several different visions of His return shown from different perspectives in the Book of Revelation. Christ returns at the end of Revelation chapter 6, with signs in the sun, moon, and stars, as are found in the Olivet Discourse. Those at the end of the chapter are hiding from the wrath of the Lamb. Why would they be hiding if Christ is not present? The "kings", "captains", "might men", "free", and "bond" are also found in chapter 19 at the return of Christ. He returns at the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet in the Bible, and the time of the judgment of the dead in Revelation 11:15-18. The beginning of chapter 12 is a history lesson containing the fall of Satan, and the birth and death of Christ, who is the seed promised to crush the head of Satan in Genesis 3:15. The Second Coming is found in the "harvest" of chapter 14, which is related to the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew chapter 13. He comes as a thief at Armageddon, and we find the greatest earthquake in history in chapter 16. This occurs when the 7th angel pours out his vial. How powerful is an earthquake which moves islands and destroys the mountains? What is happening to the planet? He comes on a horse in chapter 19, right after the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Chapter 20? Does He come with the fire, and the judgment of the dead at the end of chapter 20, which agrees with what Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, and 2 Timothy 4:1? (The time of the judgment of the dead is also found in Revelation 11:18.) There are no mortals left alive on the planet at the end of Matthew 25:31-46. Why does an angel come down from heaven with a key to unlock the bottomless pit in Revelation 9:1-2, if the pit was not already locked before that time? Are there wicked angels in the pit in Rev. 9:11? If the beast "ascends" from the pit in Rev. chapter 11, where was the beast before that time? Does your view agree with Peter in 2 Pet. 2:4, and Jude in Jude 1:6, when they both said wicked angels are already in chains of darkness? Revelation 9:14 proves some of the angels were previously bound in some manner. Because the two witnesses were bodily resurrected from the dead in Revelation 11, the "first resurrection" at the beginning of Revelation 20 is not the first bodily resurrection in the book. The principle of "Recapitulation" means there are multiple visions of His return. .

Sinai and Why it doesn't matter"! Can someone explain this?

I guess the main thing is that the location isn't what saves us, so not knowing the location shouldn't destroy your faith. You can trust that an event truly happened somewhere, even if you don't have the specifics. Therefore, the historicity does matter (the account is truthful), but it doesn't matter (I can accept the content of the story on faith).

While these guys are expounding theories from their fireside armchairs, real people have discovered Mt Sinai and located most of the Old Testament features in the area. Even this video shows glimpses of some of the 3000 stones, without explanation, which signify the 3000 who died due to their idolitary. Search a bit harder and you will find the metalurgy site and the five remaining furnaces and their rock-carved molds where ornaments, rings, and clips were poured for the tabernacle. You will find the formers for the cherub wings that were made for the Ark Mercy Seat. It is all on youtube. The evidence is well and truly in and the time for theorising is over. One of the best places to start is the Ron Wyatt Museum.

Note Saul of Tarsus (the apostle Paul) writing in his book, epistle, or letter to the Galatians at Chapter 4: Verse 25 in the Bible, he writes "... Sinai a mountain in Arabia, ..." (NWT or New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures) Arabia is the TRUE location of Mt. Sinai, in the land of Midian, in what is now NORTHWESTERN SAUDI ARABIA, east of the Gulf of Aqaba (that is, the "right arm" of the Red Sea) and east of the SINAI PENINSULA in SOUTHWESTERN ASIA. The SINAI PENINSULA IS PART OF EGYPT IN NORTHEASTERN AFRICA and is NOT the TRUE LOCATION OF MT. SINAI. The video running time depicted at 11:21 illustrates clearly and accurately, a HIGHLIGHTED sentence of the apostle Paul's, and is stated as "... Mount Sinai in Arabia; ..."

If you read 1 Kings 19 carefully it took Elijah more than 48 hours to get to Mt Horeb, the mountain of God. He first went to Beersheba and left his servant. Then he walked another day into the wilderness where he rested and was provided food and water. He then went another 40 days to Mt Horeb.

@@earlharris571if the account in the book of kings is true, Elija walked from Beersheva (southern Israel) 40 days and 40 nights without sleeping and resting to Mount Sinai. if this testimony is true, Mount Sinai must be somewhere in Dschibuti (if he walked in direction Africa) or Jemen (if he walked in route Arabia) Jebel al Lawz range is too close and can be reached less then one week to feet when not resting and sleeping. the interesting point is: the Red sea distance between Dschibuti and Jemen is very close ->perfect to crossing the red sea. and in Jemen there is the Jabal an nabi-shuayb (Mountain of Jithro) ) Just look at google maps. in my opinion Jemen is the place which fits the biblicial description the most.

Technically Elijah doesn't eat or drink for 40 days a day after Beer Sheba. The text doesn't say there was a buffet set up at Horeb for him. He may not have eaten until he returned.
