The topics chosen by the Duchess of Sussex for her Archetypes podcast have a surprising habit of overlapping with issues she has faced in her real life, that’s the view of the Daily Mail’s Diary Editor Richard Eden. ‘The whole premise of her series for Archewell is Archetypes which is meant to be about words and looking at their impact on women and this sort of thing,’ he tells Palace Confidential. ‘But by funny coincidence, every week seems to be about criticisms that have been made in the past about Meghan.’

I think Andrew is a disgrace. The FBI tried to get him to cooperate for over a year. Andrew boasted that he couldn’t wait to clear his name in court so paying her off shows guilt not the ole jubilee excuse, I’m tired of hearing that BS. Don’t forget all the time Andrew spent on Paedo Island and in Epstein’s New York penthouse while those girls were there too. Watch his interview again when she asked him about John Brockman, it’s all over his slimy face, you can see the guilt.

@@asmeenkhalik5447 wow you must be old to have lived through colonisation? This whole world has been colonised by humans, not one piece of land truly belonged to anyone, we as humans chose to draw invisible lines in the sand. Territory wars have been raging forever, look at it today, there are still land disputes, look at the Jews vs Palestinians, Russia vs Ukraine, China vs nearly every country in their reach etc. etc. To hate on people today for something that happened 100s of years ago is truly heavy Asmeen, all that baggage you carry can't be very freeing and then we don't even know what went on in the prehistoric times before we started documenting everything down? Should we hate on the different human species thousands of years ago for daring to venture into others territories? What about us humans taking the animals habitats away, all the pollution we are creating, killing our beautiful earth. Should we not focus on having less children to none to give Earth a chance to heal? That's life and trust me it shall never stop. I choose to live for the moment in peace because no one knows if there are truly life after this, we love to believe so but there are no sure proof. I do not believe in colonisation, I just see humans running around crazed, arrogant, hateful and vengeful, f'ing up this planet blaming everyone else but ourselves. I'm to blame to here I am on my tablet that will end up in a landfill poisoning my earth and that is just one example of my bad contribution.

That was an excellent suggestion by Jo that Andrew do something charitable quietly, he does not need to be patron or anything high profile. And , for Harry to say things like he would like Archie to run barefoot in Africa is shocking. This person, although he seemed all devoted to his charitable work in Africa , simply has no empathy for the underprivileged. All his work in Africa was a sham . Those children run barefoot because they cannot afford the cheapest of footwear . They probably have to make the choice between a pair of slippers and food . And Harry makes it sound like it’s wonderful for those kids to be barefoot. He is a truly horrible person. As for Meghan, I wonder how she is going to address that most people think she is a liar . Because her lying on Oprah , her lying to the court and then saying she forgot is all on record

The pen had obviously not been cleaned properly. Most people haven't even been near a fountain pen, sobthey aren't aware of the pitfalls - which is why this happens to the King 'every blessed time.' Note that at the Accession Council, when he used his own pen, hich he took out of his jacket, there was no problem at all.

I also heard that many of these documents were on a special parchment that smudges very easily and so you don’t want to have any “pen episodes “. KC would have known this and this would have been a normal response to a leaky pen. Also it makes me wonder, why pens were not “Vetted “ by his handlers, before they were placed before KC. Also I also remember, in watching this, that I noticed that the pen holders were inconveniently placed right in front of him rather than aside which is where he replaced them. Having them in front of him would have the risk of spillage and he foresaw saw that possibility. So all of this talk is so ridiculous and petty considering the background information. I often wonder if this had been a CEO of an important company, that CEO would have not been happy with how things were set up as well, but probably there would not have been any public reaction to any of it.

If H expressed that to her, it would explain why she trashed the tour at the end. Nipping that idea in the bud. I always thought Africa is exactly what Harry was thinking when he ran away.....and I also believe he was under rhe impression his wife wanted the same......Helping the people, conservation work...isn't that purportedly what gave them that "instant connection" she gushed about??? He was duped. I feel he looks so miserable all the time...because she probably talked him into going to Cali first. to make enough money to live in Africa...and live happily ever after.....but he is realizing...his wife will NEVER be happy living a simple quiet life out of the spotlight. She was full of it! She is too Hollywood Wanna Be to live a life saving rhinos.

I couldn't see the logic behind the comparison of Virginia Giuffre's accusations against Andrew and Alan Dershowitz. The former would be hard to forget for her and the latter would be very interchangeable with any other older man who crossed her path. If Dershowitz is innocent of being in her company, that does not mean that Andrew, automatically, is just as free and clear of the association.

The need to get the King's permission to marry if you're in the first six in line to the throne is often misunderstood and misrepresented. It's not that you can't get married without that consent - you can - it's that if you do so you lose your place in the line of succession (as do your descendants from that marriage). It's all set out in s3 Succession to the Crown Act 2013.

I believe there was a sealed document from the Guiffre-Maxwell defamation case of a few years age that showed Dershowitz was not guilty. I think it was mentioned a few years ago in the Mail Online. Guiffre was communicating with a magazine journalist and did not know who Dershowitz was, but the journalist just said to throw his name in anyway since he was either rich and famous or Epstein's attorney, something along those lines.

the movie Bonnie and Clyde from the 70's got sued by the family of the sheriff, who was depicted as a fool in the movie, but in fact he helped locate the pair and was a hero...the family won the law suit...so at least in the US if a person or family of a person is slandered there is still justice...even though they say...based on the truth, but certain characters are changed for dramatic effect.....I have seen the new crown, it was hard on the Queen and Prince Phillip, mean even, but the rest of the series was boring to me....seems in their scheme for drama has resulted in a whining bore fest....shades of Harry the Spare....

If you had an ounce of intelligence, or bothered to listen to Archetypes, you would realize how incredibly well researched, produced and presented the series is. The quality of the guests is remarkable and frankly, I think it’s long overdue for a show like this to get women united around the rejection of labels applied to keep us ‘less than’ and ‘unworthy’. Universities & Colleges in Canada, (part of YOUR Commonwealth) as a springboard for seminar discussion even NOW! Just because the UK / RF were too stuck in the dark ages to make use of Meghan Mountbatten-Windsor’s gifts and talents, please don’t think the rest of us bought in to the engineered criticism. We knew and respected her before Harry and seeing how they have enriched each other’s lives has been a real treat. It’s just a shame, we couldn’t work out the security piece for them because Prince Harry would have been a dream to have working on Veterans & Mental Health Issues and likewise Meghan working on behalf of her Women’s Empowerment/Education & Racial Equality passions.

I wish more reporters would mention Profumo as an appropriate role model for Andrew. However, Profumo appeared genuinely remorseful. Charitable work in Profumo model does not mean being an official patron of charities it means rolling up sleeves and showing up to cook, serve and clean at homeless shelters or teach classes to prisoners. IIRC Profumo also cleaned lavatories for charities. That's the kind of redemptive work Andrew should do but probably wont't because he is too arrogant and entitled.

Has not happened in Canada, not even in testy Quebec, except for a Quebec man managing to put his arm around the Queen for a photograph. The Queen and Prince Philip did run into trouble while on a barge on the Red River in Manitoba (the province where they along with Anne and Charles, found a farm to stay at for a solid month of real privacy). I think the engine stopped working or something. Quebeckers of course were on top of that immediately, the press saying sarcastically "At least we in Que know how to treat elderly German tourists", and Prince Philip did a bit of grumbling.
