Good ol' Midwest goodybye. I got out of a 24 hour diner with a group of friends one night at 1am, then talked outside for a couple hours. Just when we were doing the 'I suppose', a police officer came up to check on us and joined us keeping the goodbye going for another couple hours.🤣🤣

To the man teaching his daughter how to drive, take her to an empty parking lot with a long stretch and let her floor it he won't be afraid of the speed anymore. I've done this with all my kids and they learn the vehicle they are driving better that way

Yes, it's bad, but it's actually the German goodbye. At least, that seems to be the only country in Europe with the same kind tradition of long goodbyes.

Makes sense, German, French Canadian, and one of the Scandinavian countries is the make up of every Midwest states heritage.

It depends if you want to be in a city or out in nature.

I moved from NY to Wisconsin in 1982. My sisters still live in Manhattan. I can only stand being back in NYC two days before I get sick of the congestion and rudeness. The only thing I miss is Italian restaurants. Midwest is family oriented. Not the best place if you’re single.

Yes! Maybe we could have a Midwestern games where each state sends their people who will compete in each of the events. I’d also like to see a tractor pull and bags tourney between the states.

My parents always did the Midwest goodbye and we’re coastal elites. It’s not exclusively a Midwest thing. You also aren’t expected to take home leftovers. That and following someone to the car would be creepy. My parents would say “oh we’re leaving now.” 1 hour later and we still haven’t left.
