It's been a while since there has been a customizable and programable brushless blaster in the hobby and the Momentum is promising to be the next iteration of it. I think that it does the job really well, even if it is a bit pricey.

Momentum is not the FDL successor. FDLs were "easily" accessible brushless blasters that is built for heavy use between 130-160fps. But Momentum was built for competitive 180+fps games. It is expensive, but it isn't a blaster meant for the everyday nerfer. I have my own, its the best Flywheel I've used, it isn't perfect, but I love using it. SBF is definitely more fitting of the FDL successor.

i was one of the preorder buyers and for 200 more then other competitive brushless options; i dont think the ergonomic issues and design "choices" warrant the cost. An SBF hits 170+ and has more customization and can be adjusted more accurately on the blaster. i sold mine after a month of using it. the performance is solid and for others that is all that matters but there are to many negatives IMO to make that price point worth it.

I love Eli and his designs. I’ve played with this and like it, just don’t love it so haven’t made the purchase. I wouldn’t call the current version the king of brushless but rather a solid entry. As of now I’ll be sticking with my FDL and Basic.

No shot with Gavinfuzzy's SBF exsisting are you pretending this thing is worth any sort of pick at all especially the price. The fact that OOD has trouble just putting the intended lipo into the thing speaks volume for its design

@@TheNorsemon First how about some proper grammar to some degree if youre going to argue with someone online. Second they are both brushless flywheel, solenoid pushers design is different yes essentially same functioning blaster otherwise and again the sbf does it all better

@@TheNorsemonthey are both brushless adjustable fps/rps blasters. They have a different max fps. But they are very similar

You can also get the SBF for cheaper than this and while it doesn't hit quite as hard it has a screen so you don't have to memorize the blinking light code.

Personally, I wish it hit closer to 250fps. 5:17 Dual stage, brushless, and it only hits 210 or so. It's still great, just not quite up to the 250 range.

Yeah for the price I wish it hit harder. If it hit 250 I would consider getting it. As it is 200 isn't all that much more than the 160 of my sbf

The wheels are smaller than regular wheels to allow for quicker spin up time up. Most comp games are capping flywheels at 200fps, so it's about where it needs to be.

They need to move to injection mould. Instead of 3D print. They need to move the production to China to bring down the cost. Kirin-A is a good example. Co-operate with Chinese factory and try not to charge high price copyright fee. This thing will sell.

Happy to see folks catering to high priced market folks, but happy with a near 20 RPS LiPO RIVAL and a dead on $ Longshot pro with flawless ammo. $650 could get a dual wield proton pack from Luke so a pass for me.

I think just about everyone wasn't even paying attention to the Nerf gun at this point😂. I see you have a couple of my favorite saber Trio lightsabers back there and a few Vader's vaults.
