Actually it does have a few inches of adjustment ! The waist belt is velcroed in due to the fact it's removable. There is an area there about 1" to 2" where you can slide the belt up or down. Before you achieve the velcro to the pack. This will allow you to make some small adjustments to the torso length

You are absolutely correct. In fact I just adjusted mine a few months ago to make sure I have as much length on the torso as possible. Thanks for the comment.

Going to do a video on this; but I got this pack and made a few modifications that has drastically increased the usability; First off got some SmarTube drinking system and 2 sawyer refill kits - that way can have a short and long system with a small bottle in the front pouch or use bottle in the back holders as a bladder. Then I replaced the belt; not seen anyone else talk about it but there is velcro holding the waistband on and its pretty easy to remove. So I've got a hazard 4 Waist Land; and using a couple of Molle pouches to get much more storage on the sides for things use more frequently (food; cooking, medical; tools and poncho) and I really like webbing and will use the waistband and webbing like a day pack. Before i replaced the hip belt I added a chest rig to the front and attaching the over head straps to that; makes it very well balanced even when synch really tight when alternating to have all the weight on the shoulders. Video will come after I receive and do some testing with some 2inch wide adaptors as the Hazard4 is wider than the original belt. .

The hipbelt is attached to the main compartment/ pack just by velcro? Also, Would the sternum strap be adjustable if the shoulder pocket was removed? Thanks!

@@joebernall4116 quick answer is yes and no; here's a quick video showing the belt and sternum strap close up kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIDUf32obLOAisk

Great question and great answers. Thanks for sharing your insights. The should pocket really needs to be removable to allow the sternum strap to be moved up. This is probably the one thing that Naturehike really needs to correct on this bag. I have now used this bag for over 120 miles of backpacking with max loads just recently and it has performed really well. I have not experienced any shoulder or back pain.

You said the water bottle holder is fixed but some of your footage shows it on the left strap and some on the right strap.

It’s because we recorded using selfie mode and then the other way. Lol. But it is fixed, at least this one is.

Yes my wife is correct that it is fixed on your right shoulder side. Selfie mode can really be confusing. I actually found a setting on my camera that fixes the reverse look. I didn't realize that normal Selfie mode switches everything to the opposite side until about six months ago.
