Don’t worry, there’s always a trade off somewhere. It’s not the tech that’s important, it’s what’s underneath the hood. Kia and Hyundai know they can’t compete with Honda and Toyota in terms of quality and reliability so there going the tech and design route. Which is fine for most people because most people lease for 3 or 4 years. Don’t see a lot of 10+ years Hyundai and Kia on the road. At least not here in Canada. But lots of civics and Corolla.
@CDalonzo4 жыл бұрын
@@cyrano661 I beg to differ, although this particular model has a CVT, which I have to say is a total zonk, the reliability on Hyundai and Kia has been pretty good over the years. I know tons of people who have old Hyundai’s and kias and they love them to this day and only do regular maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tires, etc.). I think the reliability ratings will go down for these cars that use these CVT transmissions. Me, personally I’d rather go for a car that you can get with a manual and learn how to use that than buying a CVT any day of the week.

Just bought a 2023 Hyundai Elantra less than a week ago. Had 45 miles on the odometer. Still had the plastic on a lot of the components. The whole thing, with all the fees and fixin's and taxes and the whole shootin' match out the door for right at about $27k. And to be honest it's like waking up and still being in a dream every day. It's so comfortable, nice, and most of all, smooth. It's like piloting a shuttlecraft. Worth every goddamn cent. Just a fantastic, amazing, awesome all around car. Smooth and quick, and quiet, and comfortable, and to be honest. I truly believe it's the most beautiful car in the world...for under $30k. It just looks so beautful and sleek and fast. I got blue with black rims. I can't tell you how happy I am. Every day I wake up and I actually....until I get work up real good, I honestly think either the car was just in a dream or that somehow someone is going to come take it away form me because I'm not supposed to have something like this.

The competition has CVTs to. There’s no getting away from that. N-Line hopefully will be available with a MT and 7 speed dry DCT. N for sure will be the new wet 8 speed DCT.

Hyundai has done a nice job with this new Elantra. Normally, I'd say they will sell them like hotcakes. But, in this crossover crazed world, people don't see to want cars anymore. The fuel economy is awesome in this thing - it's almost like a hybrid. Great value for the dollar too. That should attract some buyers to it.

Great review Joe! I'm not hocking my '19 civic ex turbo for this elantra. For similar sticker price, I have much more power, manage 40mpg when not pushing the turbo. Power driver seat, sunroof, heated cloth seats, all the safety tech, and even a rear armrest. I am curious what the n line delivers, though. Keep up the good work!

Wow! I love it. We owned a 2013 Hyundai Elantra (main reason we got it was styling) we bought new in 2013 and had it until we traded on a new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport GT AWC (we now have two new 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL Touring’s with S-AWC). I love the look of this new one especially the interior and that grey interior color is beautiful wow!
I know 2020 is really sad but, Happy Halloween everyone! 👻👻

Nice I have noticed cost cutting since they made wireless android and car play, full folding rear seat. , blind spot monitor with rear traffic alerts, emergency automatic braking with pedestrians dectection, you use have to spend almost 30k to get that feature , I’m glad adaptive cruise is a option, high beam assist, halogen headlights are great .
