I have the Trail Boss LT with the 6.2 I love it. I got it for 45,010, sticker price was over 53,000. Its fully loaded minus the spray in bed liner (I did my own raptor liner), cooled seats, motorized tailgate, small stuff. I recommend the TB LT trim because it has everything you want in a vehicle. The only thing I wish it had is motorized folding mirrors, because it is wide.

I have the same truck except with the 5.3 V8 and a few more options, and I got it for $37k. Best truck you can get for that price. I love it.

Todd Rowey it’s a 2019. I bought it new in May 2019, before they got popular. And for some reason here in Baton Rouge, LA no one wanted Red. Everyone wants black, grey or white. It’s a Custom Trail Boss, Double cab, 5.3 V8, convenient pkg and infotainment pkg. Sticker was $43,600 and they came off a little over $6,000. About 4 mths after I got it they couldn’t keep them on the lot. Now no one is buying because of Covid.

@@legion1630 Mine is a 2019 Silverado Custom Z71 Trail Boss double cab with 5.3 V8, Custom Convience Pkg and the Infotainment Pkg. That was it. But now for the 2021's, I think those pkgs are different. My sticker price was $43,500 and I got $6,000 off, for a price of $37,500.

It's a great value (especially with the 6.2L) but needs power seats for shorter folks. Have to buy the LT trim for those seats which is a lot more expensive unfortunately

That custom trail boss is unusually spartan. How does that not have the tailgate fold down and remote start on the key fob? My Custom has that and mine isn't a trail boss. Also, my custom has the power release fold down tailgate and is dampened. The dealer does have the option of ordering the custom trim with a center armrest that does open for storage, but most don't do it. Its weird that this truck has the 6.2 option but doesn't have these features.

This is a WT with a few options, that's why the interior is so plain.

@Hienrich Dumbassbiden just got that exact thing this past week. A silver 6.2 trail boss with the convenience level II group and multi flex tailgate. lt popped up. And it was the only color choice I wanted. Wasn’t even in the market but I took that as a sign lol.

I would usually agree, especially with a truck. However, considering this has tough competition that offer premium interiors, it’s hard to overlook now. The power train rocks though!

This is the work truck version of the trail boss, not the “base trim”. It’s literally the work truck - they should have sent you the LT model or at least let you know it’s a work truck.

Great review!!!...as for the truck I'm torn...I love the exterior, the engine but not in love with the interior. I would definitely opt for a more plush interior with the current exterior.

I have a 2005 Colorado and the interior is plain-jane, but functional, and holds-up well, and the older it gets, the more people compliment the truck. I find front bench-seat is definitely the way to go in a pick-up, nothing cramps your love-style like a center-console. And as for old-fashioned incandescent headlight/taillight bulbs, every-time you change-out one by yourself for a few bucks you will learn to love them.

So many things misleading in this review. You can’t spec up the interior except upgrading the back seats for the storage. Big downside of the 6.2L is that it is highly recommended to run 93 octane according to the owners manual. That can be a deal breaker.

Maybe for the LT version. However that's a base Raptor you're talking with a XLT interior. If you want the nice interior and Recaro, you're looking at $70k+

Does it have a rear locker or open/limited slip diff? Idk what this truck has but if it’s the same limited slip diff that the new Sierra/Yukon AT4s have, then man you don’t even need a rear locker. I’m typically a Ford/Ram guy but GM designed a really effective limited slip in these things.

Has no idea about the truck. “Custom is a badge you get when you through custom features on you truck.” Really? It is an actually trim level.... a near bottom trim level just above a work truck. “Boss” does not refer to interior features. It refers to off-road capabilities with the 2” lift, Z71 package, hill descent control, etc. This is a waste of time.
