I like the combined testing of offroad, towing and payload capabilities. I understand that it's difficult for you (as a start-up - I have no clue how you can make a living from that) to have longer loops for mpg testing with fuel filling (never trust displays), but that would give a more robust result.

I bet it"d have allot better off road ride with smaller rims. Putting 20" rims on an offroad truck is a fail GM. Its got to be 18" or smaller. I got 33" cooper Discoveries on my 2014 Seirra 18 inch rims and I'll tell ya 18" with allot of rubber looks just as cool or cooler than big rims. At least to me. And man did the ride improve going from stock 30-31? to 33s. Note I was going to go with mudders but I live ion a condo and an extra set of tires is just not practicle. These All terrains with the 4 peak snow rating though are fantastic. They did very well on the ice last winter and great in the mud this Spring. Theres not much for rock crawling in Saskatchewan but I saw some vids of what some Europeans are doing with them on Dicia's? and I'm sure they will be fine for whatever I do. Which is mainly old logging roads in the bush. Nothing extreme but if it gets wet you are not having fun. lol Some more extremly patterned tires would probably be better but just like the KO2s I tried on my truck they suck in Canadian winters. I don't care what Bridgeston says it can do. You can save allot of money looking at Copper discoveries, falken wildpeak and Toyo AT4s and still get very capable or better tires. Frankly I think all KO2s got going for them is thicker sidewalla but if I was really worried about that I'd get Goodyears with Kevlar, Those are great tires. I had them on my old f150. Bit expensive though.

You might want to take a look at the stats on the 0 to 62 leaderboards. Said Chevy 16.4, 0 to 62 not 14.3. It matched the Toyota which is obviously not correct. Otherwise another great video.
@TruckKing4 жыл бұрын
Ah! I totally messed it up. Copied the Tundra numbers and forgot to switch them out for the Silverado. Thanks for catching it. Here's how the leaderboard should look: 1. 2020 Chevy Silverado LT Trail Boss 6.2L 0 - 50 km/h (31 mph) - 4.9s 0 - 100 km/h (62 mph) - 14.3s 2. 2020 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro 5.7L 0 - 50 km/h - 6s 0 - 100 km/h - 16.4s 3. 2020 GMC Sierra Elevation 3.0L Diesel 0 - 50 km/h - 5.3s 0 - 100 km/h - 16.6s Lots more coming on this, and it will be fun to watch it evolve into the future. Totalled over $73 K! You certainly can get the core features of this truck for much less. The RST with the Z71 is a lot similar for one thing. This Blackout Package is crazy expensive. A Line-X bed cover might save $500. A truck costing this much should be a LTZ or top trim. Will you ever get your money back on the options? Also i can't see the reason for the 6.2L with its premium fuel.
@stevemccaughey28404 жыл бұрын
What does "Curb Weight" include in Canada? All fluids? Full tank of fuel? 150 lb driver? If you run with 1/4 tank of fuel with a 136 litre tank (F-150), you could have a variance of 100 lbs or so to your max payload. If you go over the scales at max payload, the amount of fuel could be the difference between receiving a ticket or not.

About Tonneau covers...my Tundra has the same as this Silverado...other than the name. My previous Tacoma had a BAK FLIP INDUSTRIES Tonneau which will go right up against the rear glass and has struts to keep it in place. Only cons is I could not use my cleats on my Tacoma because the Tonneau went in those tracks. The BAK FLIP is very heavy to flip at the end. The whole thing is made of aluminum. They are high quality Tonneau covers.

A little nit pick on the payload squat test. By putting the barrels all the way to the front it will keep it from squaring as much. When a person puts 1000 lbs in the box it usually goes from the front all the way back which puts weight behind the axle.

What I don't like about putting a max trailer weight on the label is some people only look at that number and don't pay attention to the GCWR or payload. With this truck you are most likely going to hit the GCWR limit before you hit the max trailer weight... if your trailer weighs 9300 lbs and you weigh 198 lbs then you are already over the GCWR. I really like how GM is putting these labels on their trucks now... and in my opinion even the 2019 label had everything you needed to know... I think it's better that the owner needs to do a little math to figure out how much they can tow, hopefully that way they are looking at all the numbers. If the combined weight of this truck and trailer and cargo is less than 15000 lbs and if the total weight of this truck is less than 7000 lbs and if the hitch weight is less than 930 lbs then it does not matter how much the trailer weighs.

Nice truck, but I bought the Titan because Chevys dash and instruments are so OLD, and the center console arm rest has that stupid indentation of hard plastic that limits the arm space and location of the arm(been that way since my 2001 Suburban) Not to mention the Titan Pro 4x was 9k less. The Pro 4x Titan center console arm rest is solid firm foam padding the whole way and the leather/leatherette looks better and feels less cheap. Still like that chevy and titan do not put shifter on the center console to take up room that can otherwise be used for storage/better cup holder configuration like Ford and Toyotas center console shifter on top trim level trucks. When you take long road trips these little things make it a better truck.
