Really pleased you took my advice on getting the combi. The biggest drawback I have found up to now is recipes for it. The combi cooking using steam really sets this machine apart from any other cooking device, and cooks some great food, but Ninja ought to bring out a much more in-depth recipe book, as people are finding it very limited, as people don't want to risk spoiling their evening meals by guessing timings and temperatures.

Yup, I agree. There's probably one on Amazon, but I bet it's written by AI 😆

Measuring KwH is good, but you also need to record peak draw. It will be handy to know if you can use another device on the same circuit.
@CandidClara8 күн бұрын
Really appreciae the feedback. Presumably peak draw will be close to whatever the rated wattage is on the appliance. Also, I'm curious are you in the US? I think maximum capacity on circuits is perhaps more of a problem outside the UK?

Great review! It's lovely to see a UK version review. I just bought one and am entirely new to air frying, let alone all the options on the Combi. It would be great to know what containers or food cover products can and can't be used in the Combi for its functions, such as tins, Pyrex, silicon, parchment, and foil, or if it's all just direct on the trays and pan, especially as I can see the interior wall will get mucky reasonably soon, even if the pans can go in the dishwasher. Looking forward to seeing your cooking experience with it.

I have the Ninja AG301EU, what I love about it is that there is a protection for the grill, I have my Ninja 2 years and the grill is stil spot clean, this one does not have that, I realy want it, I don't have an oven anymore so this Ninja would repace that, but the grill is my main problem, that is why I chose the Ninja AG301EU I hope that there is an option so you can put in some protection so your grill stays clean

Use a Kill a Watt device or similar to measure the amount of power consumption of each mode. I imagine if this Combi oven gets used a lot, you'd see the result in the energy bill, especially with the searing mode.

I have one and it's a great bit of kit, I don't think I've used it to its full potential yet, that bread looks great, are you using the large pan with water in the bottom to create steam on the steam crisp setting because the video wasn't clear
@CandidClara3 ай бұрын
Yes I am. The bread was sour dough. It gave it an incredible rise
@gary-qg4vs3 ай бұрын
@@CandidClara Thank you for your reply, do you have to let the combi come up to temperature first before putting in your sourdough?

No because it builds up steam and heat at the beginning with the dough in there before it starts cooking

I find your Videos very useful and I need your advice. I can not decide between the Ninja Combi 12 in 1 Multicooker you are showing here in this Video and the Ninja Foodi Max Dual Zone. It's important to me to be able to slow cook over night and for the machine to keep it warm and making whole meals in a little time as well. Also being able to make rice and Meals that you usually make in a Pot like stews or soups with meat. Also my fear with the Ninja Combi 12 in 1 is that the smell of the seperare meals will combine with each other. Could you please give me your advice on my concerns? Thank you very much.
@CandidClara2 ай бұрын
I think your concerns are valid. The Combi is excellent for certain scenarios, people with holiday homes, students, young adults in their first home, people in caravans who are pushed for space, but if you are not one of those people I still think the best option is a slow cooker/rice cooker AND an air fryer, bith of which do their individual jobs brilliantly. Hope that helps
@filinarovinson29792 ай бұрын
Thank you for your responds. So basically none of which I have mentioned? Haha I had the Ninja speedi and loved it, cooked most of our meals in it but I would like the same options but two seperate compartments. Sometimes it just has to go fast (which is often) but I actually stopped going to fast food places as much because I knew it would b done quick at home too.
@CandidClara2 ай бұрын
No, get the Foodi Max Dual Zone it’s great, but it’s not a slow cooker or a rice cooker and so if you want all of that in one appliance get the Combi!

I'm looking at the ninja foodi possible 8 in 1 slow cooker right now. I'm not so keen on the colour, and would prefer black, although I don't know that the black was released in the UK. It looks fairly simple to operate and easy to keep clean. I believe it's quite lightweight too. It has a huge capacity, so not so light when full, but don't necessarily need to lift when full. But for cleaning, it looks like something easy. It seems there was a smaller version released in the US, but I can't find anything for the UK and not loads on the US either sadly.
@CandidClara2 ай бұрын
It's funny the first thing I was going to say was that I really like the colour! 😅 The smaller capacity US version appears to be similar but different to the 8 litre/8.5 quart version. I'm going to add it to my list for testing though and you have (unfortunately! 😅) reminded me I fancy one of their PossiblePots to replace a non-stick saucepan I recently killed! If you are an Amazon Prime member there are deal days coming up next month so we may both be in luck...
@leaperrins83732 ай бұрын
@@CandidClara The colour may be growing on me, although I am not sure if it's more grey in person, rather than blue gray as pictured. I'll soon find out, because I've ordered it! It was 30 off everywhere, but within ten mins of deciding to order it, amazon increased the price by 30, back to normal. So I ordered from elsewhere with free delivery. I saw, after leaving this comment, that the smaller, similar, dark blue model is showing as 'coming soon' on the ninja UK site. A smaller version would have been better for me, but I can't wait, and I'm not sure of the functions. An instant pot has the functions, but I can't stand the look, bulk, or lids. Plus, some look difficult to keep clean. Sorry that I reminded you to spend more money!

Good review for a good product however...do NOT use scouring creams to clean the interior. From new regularly use the steam function for 10 mins then wipe away debris when the interior has cooled. For the occasional stubborn stains use no scrubbing oven cleaners such as HG Oven Cleaner. I've had my Ninja for 6 months and the interior still glistens. Do take care
