Is THE ORIGINAL Luigi's Mansion Coming To Switch?

I've been thinking about that Dark Moon port announcement recently, and it put me down a rabbithole of wishful thinking. Could Luigi's Mansion 1 also be making a comeback?

I could see them releasing a trio pack for a 25 year anniversary of Luigi’s mansion in 2026. That would give them plenty of time to remaster the original and plan for a trio drop

Thats a good idea but i cant imagine them including luigis mansion 3, an already $60 game. In a trio pack and pricing it to $60 or around that. I think it would just be a remaster of the first one and maybe the second one included or the 1st game with bonus content

To be perfectly honest, I like all 3 Luigi's Mansion games but the first one is an icon of my childhood. I played it nonstop on the Gamecube and I played it nonstop when they remastered it for the 3DS. I also played Dark Moon nonstop as well when it launched back in 2013. Dark Moon is an icon of my late teen years. As for Luigi's Mansion 3, I like it as well but it just isn't the same as the first 2 in my opinion. Personally, I can see Nintendo remastering the original at some point for the Switch or even their next console whenever it launches just because of how popular and loved that game is.

I've just got done 100% my first save file on Luigi Mansion 2 HD and I'm currently trying to do the same to my 2nd save file. I've played this game nonstop, I'm glad they brought it back to the Switch. Anyway I really hope they the first Luigi's Mansion to the Switch. Never played it and I'm thinking about picking up the 3ds port.

I never had a GameCube, this I used to emulate it on Dolphin when I was a kid. I was so scared of the game but wanted to finish it. I've got a yearly ritual since 2010 to replay the game at least once. I'm at around 16-17 full playthroughs at this point, love the series.

I agree to an extent. I really wish the sequels had what this game had, a little horror as this game was a bit creepy and unsettling. The whole reason i fell in love with it, aside from my favorite brothers first stand alone game

If Luigi's Mansion just gets a simple emulation port for Switch, I *beg* that Nintendo adds the PAL Hidden Mansion to all regions.

They could have remade it again for the switch and they might show it off later. You never know.

I have Luigi's Mansion find my Dolphin emulator on my phone play also played in the original GameCube hopefully the original Luigi's Mansion an HD version come to the switch hopefully

Even as someone who played the first game on 3DS and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT… Even I can admit the remaster should have been on Switch. It was 2018, for goodness sakes. I wouldn’t be surprised if they drop an HD port of the 3DS remaster at some point during the Switch 2’s life cycle, specifically during October.

I would like to see it come to Switch, but I don't think it will happen. More likely is adding another tier to NSO with Game Cube. There's a large library of great games they could pull. from BUT a lot of those games have been remastered and re-released for a full price like Thousand Year Door. I'll keep my fingers crossed until I hear from Nintendo. Latest news is the Switch 2 won't be released until March 2025 at the earliest, but April looks more likely.

I love that you said “I’m not going to say it’s the best game ever, it’s just my favorite game ever”. I feel like we’ve lost something in the era of “metacritic”. A game is always more than just a score out of 10, and some of my favorite games landed far short of a perfect score. For the record, I also love Luigi’s Mansion.

I have a feeling that in February there will be a Nintendo direct and that they will reveal the Luigi’s Mansion remake will be bundled with the Luigi’s Mansion 2HD.

I think this would come out in 2024/2025 Also I'm happy they're bringing back GameCube games because the GameCube and the Dreamcast were my first consoles

2 and 3 have so it makes no sense to not put the 1st game. It's like saying for 3d all stars we are getting mario 64, sunshine and mario galaxy 2. It makes no sense because u have the two games after but then the first is missing.

the orignal is still the best. i liked lm3 but i dont think its better. dark moon i havent finished playing but i think itll be the least fav in the series for me
