I held off buying a PS5 until these came out. After considering what I'd get for the price, I just decided to go with the old PS5. Picked up that giant bundle at Costco which includes the OG PS5 console (disk version), an extra controller, Sony charging station and GOW game all in one. Just made a lot more sense in the long term and more bang for the buck.

I’m not sure long term the OG is best like. The slim will be the standard model shortly. Plus what if the removable disc drive Is future proofing for a potential add on 8k disc drive in the future?

The OG digital version looks the nicest. The attachable disc drive is so practical on the new version. If the line on it lit up like on the OG Ps4 and had touch buttons like a sleek futuristic machine I’d be all in for it. I still use my OG PS4 white destiny console and it is the nicest looking console they produced besides the Crystal Blue PS4 Pro which I also snagged up back on release. It’s been a long time since I bought a console I was really hoping for something spectacular. I’m still not totally sold on any of the new ones.

I don't know if i would buy one slim model if I already own a PS5. I used to have a OG PS5, but sold it a year ago! I regret doing so, since new spider man and GOW Ragnarok came out! So i bought this new version, and it looks way better and the smaller profile makes it more appealing for a desk set up. The only thing i find ridiculous is the fact you need to buy a 30$ stand if u want it standing 🙄 Sony is getting greedy

I honestly couldn't get a PS5 in Australia for the first two years. My PS4 is still working so I feel thankful that I waited because the new PS5 slim is a great upgrade with only two things I don't like. I wish it had the vents around the edges like it's big brother and I wish the vertical stand came in the box. So looking forward to the step up to the PS5 slim from my PS4..... 😎👍

Did people who bought the PS5 Slim take this into account that most of the copper panels inside to dissipate heat from the console is stripped off the slim so it overheats way quicker even though both are retrofitted with Liquid Metal for cooling.

Subbed up, but the constant camera angle changes was very disorienting. The constant cutting between the two seemed unnecessary to me and could've instead done slight zoom ins/outs on the main cam if you wanted some movement in the shot.

Still have my "old" PS4, even older PS3 hooked up here. I did grab a XBox Series X April 2022, been wanting that JUST to play "Flight Simulator 2020"...a sim I've played since Commodore 64 days in the mid 1980s into the Windows 95/98/XP. lol. This latest version, I still have a blast with that Simulator though. Realism is insane.

I'm scoring the new PS5 for only $144 thanks to EB Games Level5 trade in deal. So it's worth the upgrade for me to get the extra internal space, then I'll just add an M.2 Gen4 SSD later, the OG PS5 sucks because of the tiny onboard storage that really only gives you around 600GB initially available space (which is pitiful considering space requirements for modern games) forcing you to get an m.2 expansion, I prefer more of my main games to be on the internal drive than on the expansion. If you can get it cheap, go for it, even if you have the original PS5.
