Of course PMP is desirable qualification - one that separates you, makes you stand out. Gives interview some positive impression before you even appear for it. You need to accompany it with some other skills which recruiter is primarily looking for.

Maybe it’s just me, but PMP didn’t help me get any interviews and it didn’t help me get hired. It was good training, but I’d likely spend my time on something else if I had to do it again.

I feel so too. But still OK. Its not easy to pass. Too much to read. But What is the necessity of 180 questions with 3.5hrs!!? It should have been 100 questions with 2hrs exam..

Got mine on December 12th, 2024. Got a job offer for $75 an hour from an international software development company less than one month later. So, I think experiences vary.
