Enjoying the podcasts, whether they're 8 hours or 2! It's nice to have on the casual banter in the background while doing other stuff. Much like Mijae I've been maining sham since Vanilla classic, and was gonna switch mains come cata. Been flirting with ret pal for the past couple of months... but after playing some dungeons and now heroics on the beta, I'm firmly back on the shammy train. All 3 specs are so much fun!

The communication around Cataclysm has been reminiscent of how they 'communicated' during Shadowlands, just complete disregard for the consumer etc. Obviously we aren't entitled to everything, but small bits of information could definitely help, it feels like Cata is doomed from the start if they continue alienating us this way

For 10 man I'd look at buffs a lot more than 25 man: * Ret pally. Best bringer of Replenishment buff. General buff bringer. Not the best but solid DPS and great buff/utility set. * Feral. You will be much more wanted if you are ok flexing Bear but you still bring Leader of the Pack and Bleed increase and of course Battle Res. Innervate won't be as valuable anymore. Ok damage with solid buff/utility pack. * Arms Warrior. You bring the same debuffs as the Feral plus 4% physical increase. You'll be second best option for Stamina buff but Priest is a good pick. Great damage and slightly less utility than Feral but still a solid pick. * Rogue. You bring damage and little else. Your buff/debuff list is not impressive (this will not matter for 25 man). Tricks of the Trade for threat redirection is not as important as before but may be useful. Will depend on what the PuG tactics will be. May be better in guild runs. Solid damage but lacking support. * Enhance shaman. Big support kit. A lot of are brought by others but can fill for a lot of missing base spots. BL/Hero is still a key ability where the only competition is Mage and other shammies. May be asked why you are not Elemental. Decent DPS and OK support. * Death Knight. You don't bring much utility. Mostly due to Blood DKs being meta and giving most of your buffs. Frost will bring 4% physical damage debuff but it's not the hardest to cover with others. Unholy bringa 8% spell damage buf again not hard to cover with Moonkin, lock or Assassinagion Rogue. You will be more desirable if the raid doesn't use a Blood tank but do not count on that. Battle res and a decent set of base buffs/debuffs. Fine DPS but generally lacking utility. Hybrid value goes up if you are ok with flexing but at the cost of playing another role so milage may wary. I think Pally, Druid or Warrior will be pretty safe picks for 10man PuGs with the others being a little less desired due to just bringing less raidbuffs and utility. For 25 man damage will be King as things will be covered so none of it applies there. Top tip would be looking for a guild for stability no matter size. But don't give up on the lower ranked classes for 10 man. Even though I ranked Rogue low they will fit some groups (this is more for looking for a set group) if they don't have one or a Feral druid since they'll need someone to soak up physical leather and a lot of the Agi gear.

windfury weapon was shit dmg in wotlk compared to feral spirit glyph, wonder why he thinks its gonna be different in cata

Windfury deals 3 hits in cata vs 2 in wrath, I believe that is what pushes it over the edge.

@@JayTheProduct okay that is quite a difference, althoguh i still think feral spirits is gonna be better considering it was substantially better. Would be nice to have the glyphs be similar in value though so u can pick depending on what is needed burst or sustain
