Is the Project Eclipse Engine Savable???

Best bolts for engine stands are turbo bolts. Space 'em with the lug nuts if your stand's fingers are too short. I know the manifold was gone and so were the bolts, but if you have extras, they're the perfect fit.

I tried to use those but my engine stand actually has extended fingers and those bolts are too short. I think I need to cut some of the material off so I can use normal bolts. Thanks for the info 👍

check rods al3x when this happens they normally get bent when it takes valves out like this if you want to check head i would have them check for cracks and see how warped the head is sometimes you get lucky and the head doesn't get warped to bad where they can surface the head again.

@@Al3xTalon always a good idea start fresh I have it lucky where I can take my heads in iowa that does welding and head straighten in dutch country.they have the forges and that to fix them the right way.

The head may be savable, I’d get it checked out. The quench areas and valve seats look good. I’d get it checked for cracks, with all of your findings...I’d upgrade the valves, Springs, etc. Glad to see this old girl, getting some love. Can’t wait for the next video.

I have a set of brand new 85mm Manley Pistons and rings for a 6 bolt, still in the box. I just opened the box to drool over them, turns out my spare block needs to be machined so I can't use them. Let me know if interested.
