Tbh, if Diablo 4s ultimate edition had expansions included in it it would be worth it, I played the beta and it was fun but tbh I’ve got too much going on already to even worry about yet another live service game on my plate, but remnant 2 not only being a non-live service but being 70 dollars for the intimate edition and including the 3 dlcs is absolutely worth it, I’ve been playing since Friday and it has been worth every penny, hell there’s still secrets coming out even now, which kinda suprised me because I was expecting everyone to have found most of the content by now

Overwatch 2 was free to all. Diablo will probably be going on for 10 years like the previous one. More people bought and are playing it. Their games cost more to make and they pay their devs more. I say all that to say I am enjoying Remnant and has gotten me to stop playing D4, but worth is for that user to decide. People complain about a game after it's launched and experienced the content. The lesson imo is to wait and not let FOMO get you. No shade or anything, but there are hard working devs behind these games if you look passed the greedy publishers.

Its definitely worth it, the DLC's will probably be 20$ each, so paying 20$ extra now will save you 40$ down the line, also if you have a humble bundle sub you can get the 70$ version of the game for 55$ making it even a better deal.

Just started and was surprised that this isn't considered a AAA game. I'm in the 1st couple hours and its already a more fulfilling game then FF16. The loot actually matters and is worth getting excited about. The exploring part is fulfilling as well. Also the game has a unigue feel to it. Its weird in a good way

I know this comment is over a year old, but you could try looking up sites that sell steam keys if you play on PC. I played the entire first game on my ps4 with PS+ and bought the dlcs and loved it to death. I’m hoping your son ends up liking these games as much as the rest of us have :)

The armors help alot. Idk if people underestimate them but they work great. The 10 extra dollars is for the dlc pass and they threw in the extra material and exp boosters because why not. Remnant 2 is awesome. Can't wait for the few fixes.

I think Ultimate is the best route to go. For games now, they cost 70$, and just get the game. But with this for 70$, you get the game plus dlc plus extra stuff. Really depends if you care for the dlc. Like what if you just wanna play the game beat it then never play again. Get standard. I see no use in getting the Deluxe Edition. Like get standard or ultimate.

Having the future DLC bundled into the increased price is the only logical reason I could see anyone pre-ordering a game, because you pay 20 more for what might possibly cost 60-80 separately. Though, the 120 for Wonderlands was a gyp, so be cautious when doing so for exorbitant price hikes in the tiers.

This game is sick. I just got the Archon class and leveled it to 10, Havok form is insane with the blue ring that resets cooldowns with crits I don't even use a gun that much anymore I'm basically a Dark Wizard (Ritualist+Archon)

This is my first ever souls like game, and I got the base version, but I can honestly say that I wouldn’t have minded getting the ultimate edition. 3 DLCs for $20 sounds like a good bargain to me, at the same time, I’m having such a blast with it that I will probably end up buying all the DLC for it. Put in 17 hours in my first 2 days with the game😂 and rerolled my campaign to unlock a class, so much to find.

It's worth mentioning that all of the skins you get for buying the Ultimate edition you can also just buy for scrap in-game after having completed the campaign once. That said, the future DLC inclusion does make the purchase worth it in my opinion, but the skins alone do not justify it.

With the power of hindsight knowing now all 3 dlcs will be 10 dollars and add a new storyline for each of the 3 worlds. Alongside a bunch of new gear and a new archetype each, id say it was 100% worth it. You saved 10 bucks in the long run plus got some good armor sets.

I haven't been on a souls like kick in awhile, but after finding this game free on PS+ game pass, it feels like a crime not having paid for it. I haven't gamed all day in years, and this game had me sitting in front of my ps5 for 9hrs straight one Sunday 😂 3 weeks after download and I already have almost 90hrs into one character. The DLC pack is 100% worth it, and I love the depth of grinding for specific playthrough items and achievement weapons. It does lack some of the game mechanics depth that DS2/3 Elden ring carry, but I still find it extremely enjoyable. It's like Halo and Ds3 had a baby, and I love it.

But other then that the prices aren’t something anyone should complain about regardless of what’s included I mean the ultimate is the same price as base editions of other games now a day considering ultimate/golds are either $100-$120.

As an indie dev, games are hella hard to make. The AA and AAA games have been priced around 60 for a long time, and given the rising budgets, and rising inflation, it's a miracle that they stayed at 60 for so long. I am gladly going to pay 70 for a game that I enjoyed the prequel to and support the devs whose work I enjoy.

Not an edition per se, but preordered DQ3 remake on Amazon last night and there was an amazon additional content option. The base game is 6,200 JPY and the Amazon version was 7,600 JPY. I was actually pretty pysched cause a lot of JPRG amazon bonuses have cool figurines and stuff. But when I looked at what the extra 1,400 yen gets me it was literally In game content : Mage starter kit 1. Early game mage staff 2. Low grade mana potion x 2 That's it. No physical memorabilia, no unique in-game content. Just 1 shitty first area weapon and 2 shitty expendables. I actually googled it to make sure it was right cause I couldn't believe that bullshit.

You get the scrap, iron and such when you create new characters. I noticed my gf bought the base game and I got ultimate, I don't remember getting it on my first character but every new character I start starts with some xp boosts, scrap, and iron ect. Hope this helps someone!

My only Complaint with Remnant 2 isbthe cap on Traits. In Rem 1 Traits were unlimited, this made you feel like you were always getting rewarded for playing the game when you kept rerolling the worlds in order to get that one specific dungeon that you were looking for.
