Believe me. It DID need traction control. I almost crashed on wet roads (especially with metal tram lines or paint lines on the road) because of not having it. It was by sheer miracle that the bike straightened itself out again. Those 12 hP are more than enough to power slide the rear on a wet, slippery road, and that's exactly why it got traction control. If you think you can only accidentally slide the rear tires with a sports bike, you are obviously not used to ride 125 scooters. The only thing that is needed for the rear tire to slide on a wet, slippery road, is an extremely slight acceleration when cornering. Regarding the chrome finish on the wheel, the problem is that it rusts with the years (at least it did on my 2011 model). I hope they fixed that on this new model. I disagree on whether it's worth it to get a new one, solely because of the ABS and traction control (the usb and keyless being added bonuses). Having a bike with these security systems will save your life. It's a completely different game when you can apply full braking, regardless of how wet is the road and not having the bike slide from under you or, as mentioned above, knowing you have something there to control the rear wheel in case of oversteering.

I've had the first model since 2011, and it's used on a daily short commute to the train station. Keeps my other bikes good, stash the helmet under the seat and you're away. It's done 21k miles, averages 97mpg, and has only needed a battery aside from routine maintenance. It's been strangely hard on tyres, and I'm on my 5th rear (4th front). Mine is quite rusted beneath the bodywork, but it's used on treated roads all year round, and you can't strip it completely all the time! It's kept my other bikes in good nick, and remains the ideal daily short commuter. Journeys over an hour are a bit tedious, as are most A-roads. It's good for a bit over 60mph, but it feels wrong to hold it flat for a sustained period.

Got mine a month ago, beautiful bike, fits an XL size integral helmet. Shocks wise I agree it’s fairly comfortable but the bike doesn’t like for you to go over speed bumps more than 15-20kmh. Don’t agree on the windscreen, I’m 176cm and it doesn’t do much. Everything else is just wonderful. Love even the start/stop and I was pretty skeptical about it. Consumption 2L/100km.

I had a pcx 2014, great scooter but I wrote it off loosing the front end on a patch of oil. I put a Malossi variatior on it and it would do 70mph all day. Put loads of motorway miles on it no problem but it just wasn't that great handling wise compared to a 125 bike but is a lot better than most scooters. I got my PCX brand new in 2013. Almost 30k on the clock , 11 years on and still too strong to be replaced. I maintain it myself and it's been used for commuting. I had CB600 and NC750X in meantime, both gone the PCX still there. The only thing I replaced was the seat because it was really uncomfortable. . You should consider something bigger if you plan riding over 50mph often. You can do that but the bike is not designed for it and it's not a fun.

For putting on the back of a motorhome, and holding body weights of 13 stone each, so 26 Stone total for rider and pillion, would you recommend the PCX 125, or would you say go for the heavier (and faster) Forza 350? We would just need to get a more heavy duty bike carrier, although would prefer the PCX 125 for the two of us if I could get away with it. Just don't know if the weight of 26 stone would weight the bike down too much. It's only to use on the random motorhome holiday to get around the Scottish Highlands. Any advice appreciated. Nice try, what a bucket of BS, please don''t even attempt to call it a motorcycle ! People should know that being 125cc, it will never reach 70 mph ! I've got the 150cc version of it which is not available in the UK apparently on which I had to replace rear shocks because I was bouncing like a basket ball making it very unstable to ride then replaced the front fork oil since they bottom out on the first pothole or else on the streets plus lowered it at the front to make it more stable due to the scary wobbling at 60mph. Please Note that, my 150 cc struggle to reach 70 mph downhill so it's just virtually impossible to reach the speed mentioned with a 125 cc perhaps the 150 cc version of it will providing it's heavily modified. In the wind/rainy typical British weather and if you have a pillion behind you'd be well pissed off going at walking pace! This being said, just do yourselves a favor, forget it altogether Ok?!
