I stayed in a renovated suite that was robbed of my valuables and belongings. The manager and security were absolutely horrible. It's been almost 3wks and I haven't heard a thing back from the Rio. I deserve my money returned and then some. Absolutely horrible. They charge a resort fee when the shuttle bus isn't running, the pool closes at 5pm due to short staffing. The security guards, waitresses and management are all just not happy people. Definitely over worked and oh boy it is just low budget bs to be honest. The room had no microwave and the fridge didn't work in the newly remodeled suite. Come on. You spend money on food and can't even save any lol. What a mess. I will nevvvvvvver be back. Not on my dime. Make hard core Hella big changes cause dam. Unsafe.

Thank you for the update, so happy the Rio is being revived... We were there April 2023 and it was so bad I thought it was going to be closing for good... I remember staying there in the mid '90's and it was fantastic. Hope it sees those days again!

Really good update! Thank you! I just stayed there myself three weeks ago. My room was in the same tower. It was very clean and spacious. I thought the pool area was very good as well. They still have a lot of work to do but the progress is remarkable. The Rio has very good room offers if you sign up for the rewards program. That new room was $136 for three nights and I just booked August there for $222 and that's for four nights.

Looks great 😃❤ Jeff, all you have to do is walk across the street and jump on the 202 bus and it'll take you right back to the strip. Last month we got a 3-day bus pass for the first time for 10 bucks. It's normally 20 but if you're of a certain age it's only 10 and you can jump it on and off the bus for 3 days with the app on your phone. Easy 😊

Thanks Jeff. Great view. I would love to stay there but the Uber/Lyftt rides to the Strip and Downtown would be really add up. I’m not good with public transportation in Vegas other than the Deuce Bus. Is bus service readily available to the Strip and Downtown?

We were there last month and got a bus pass put right on her phone. It was so easy. It was a 202 bus, 10 bucks for 3 days. Jump on and off the bus as many times you want. Go to the strip. Go downtown. You can pick up the bus and go to the strip right across from the Rio. Just get the RTC app on your phone 😉 easy peasy

I used to always stay at The Rio during the WSOP. I'm going to miss staying there. Even though people always seemed to hate on The Rio, I never had a problem. It's looking great!. I've eaten at Guy's and had the trash can nachos. They were very good! I like the idea of the new food court, and I might try to get there during my stay. I heard the sushi is very good. Orleans is a nice property. Rio is still rough around edges. Rio has better pool though. I would pick Orleans for three days. Palms is across the street. Fantastic A.Y.C.E. buffet. Check that out.

I’m personally choosing to refrain from recording and producing a review for the Rio until BOTH Phases I AND II are completed in full. I feel if I tried doing one beforehand, I wouldn’t be doing the resort justice and provide a misleading indicator as to what the resort is fully like given that they’re in the middle of Phase I and still have a lot of renovating to go. Needless to say, I’ve been cheering on Rio from the very beginning after Caesars shamelessly emaciated and neglected the resort. I’m rooting for Rio to be the ultimate feel-good comeback story in Vegas. I’ll refrain from staying there until both phases are fully complete, but I’ll definitely stop by Lapa Lounge for some video poker or Canteen for a bite. 🙂

I wouldnt stay here. Its still a dump. The a/c barely works in the lobby and half the rooms are so old. If you want a place to relax dont stay here. I stayed here a few weeks ago, I think they are wasting money. Time to let it go.
