What a beautiful place to ride! I think all riders think alike, When seeing your guy's suffering through that searing heat and the times I've been riding at (100º)+ heat here on the Island, started to remember what was on my mind all those times... COLD BEER! So I wasn't at all surprise when you all got hold of the cold ones at 09:52 🍺😋 Real good ride that was! 🤟👍

This thing of your reminds me of many Cannondale products: For when you really want a mountain bike, but absolutely, positively refuse to admit you want a mountain bike. Just get a hardtail like your sensible friends. As for your water situation, I will repeat at nauseam: 10-15l cycling backpack (the offset back kind so you don't sweat like a pig) with a 3L water bladder. That plus just one water battle (juice/isotonic drink carrier) gives you a safe half day of hydration anywhere.

Great review! Salsa does not provide the weight on its website. I think of two possible reasons. First, their manufacturing variance is too big. Due to low standard quality control, Salsa cannot post a reasonable weight. Two, Salsa is ashamed of its weight. Cutthroat doesn't have a suspension, but perhaps it weights as much as or more than a lightweight hardtail. That what I deduce from the lack of the weight spec. I had interest on Cutthroat, but not anymore.

We got two of these for our daughters kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L the same size for age 6 and 9. It works very well for both girls. Gears were very easy for them to learn. Changing gears up takes some hand strength and is a bit hard, but they are learning. They did not come with water bottle holders- we actually got confused and thought the Derailler Guard was the bottle holder!! Regardless of these details, the bikes are fantastic- even our six year old who only just learned to ride bikes caught on within an hour of practice and loves it. Lightweight and easy for them to handle. All the parts are in excellent condition and the bikes are easy to assemble and very well packaged. Great choice for kids!

Love the bike design kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube.All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.

I ride my Trek ProCaliber as my chunder gravel bike as well. Off road it's just faster when you're just throwing a bunch of chunk at it. However, recently came across someone that put an Ibis Tranny29 (T-29 for the PC) and also going with the SID Ultimate 120, but chucking it out with a 2deg angleset from Wolf Tooth. Likely...eventually going with GX or XO1 Eagle AXS upgrade because what makes this bike special is that the rear triangle acts as a slider but also can be removed and packed down into a box the size of wheels. Living here in EU, you can't bring your bike on the fast trains, but I can if I pack it down into a normal suitcase...but also get around oversized charges....pretty similar to a Ritchey Break-away or S&S couplers concept. The idea is to be able to go everywhere but still have a capable bike.

Monsieur Dustin, Please remind us what the official parameters are for ride elevation re: "Golden", "Platinum", and now, as Ron has decreed: "Titanium" level. (My average ride is a bit more than 100' elv. gain/mi. - which seems rather lame. But is it at least a good place to start?
@EverythingsBeenDone2 ай бұрын
For every: 10 Miles & 1K ft=Golden 10 miles & 2K ft=Platnum I'm not sure what Ron means by Titanium...maybe 10mi & 3-4K ft ...yikes
