Great video I agree its the best 8.4 tablet, at least for western audiences since premium 8 inch Chinese tablets like the mediapad 8.4 and lenovo legion Y700 which are China only with google play issues. do you think samsung will release an A8 lite soon?

Thanks! The 8" Chinese tablets all have widevine issues as well, it's hard to recommend them to any of us in the West. There's apparently been some leaks of the Tab A8 Lite, but articles online are speculating it will have very similar design and specs to the Tab A7 Lite, except with a newer SoC.

Well looking to buy this device for a 12 year old and this'll be an upgrade from a Amazon fire hd 8 2018. Now my main concerns are performance, battery life, charging speed and media consumption not expecting it to play games like PUBG or apex legends but does it handle day to days tasks well? Like youtubing , Whatsapp and handling some games like roblox for instance.

hello, i have the tablet in 2022 and it is good for homework and some games like mobile legends, can you make calls directly from the tablet? since I have the 4g version and it asks me to activate calls on another device. Thank you.

Unfortunately this tablet doesn't support calling or texting, you can only use the SIM for 4G data. Consider getting the Tab A P205 which has the same specs as this, but supports S-pen and calling/texting.
