Good morning. I just stumbled across your other truck video and gave this one a watch as well. I moved from a 2020hd Denali to the ‘24 Hd. You can lock the top portion of your tailgate to avoid the possibility of hitting your trailer bar. Hold the top button for a few seconds and your tail lights will blink at completion. Do the same to reverse. Believe me, I have made that mistake on my previous truck. Also I have a hitch that helps avoid as well

@@GabrielSedlakOfficial , on your tailgate. Top button - to lock inner/upper tailgate, press button for 7 seconds, once complete, your tail lights will flash. Now you will ONLY be able to open whole tailgate with the bottom button. Note: if you press top button, your tail lights will flash but inner/upper portion of tailgate will NOT open. To unlock the inner/upper tailgate and restore to normal operation. Press the top button again for 7 seconds and your tail lights will flash. Your inner/upper will open again when top button is pressed.

Hi Gabriel. With everyone talking about the new GM Flex tailgate and let me just say you did a great explanation on it, No one is saying anything on how to lock the primary or lower part of the tailgate. Did GM mess up and forgot to some how be able to lock the entire tailgate?

Hey There!! Well Thanks to @c.j.pearson6191 ⬅️ sharing the secret!.... I just tried it and Viola! it works....It flashes 3 times to indicate it's locked, then to unlock it, it flashes again 3 times.... 7 seconds hold to unlock and lock! MAGIC! 🙏 Here is what He shared: On your tailgate. Top button - to lock inner/upper tailgate, press button for 7 seconds, once complete, your tail lights will flash. There's a lockout feature to keep from accidental tow hitch damage - push the top button for 3 seconds and it locks out that feature

i hate these tailgates, tailgate is only made for people that dont use these trucks. its frustrating that i couldnt order my pickup with out it. they are not durable, get rocks and crap stuck in the upper part in the gap. the tailgate on my 1999 gmc is in better shape and has held up way better then my 2022. just my 2 cents from a guy that uses trucks and not crawls around a mall parking lot.

Hey, I completely agree... I have heard guys talk about gravel or stuff that drops down in it and constantly rolls around, that's madness! They really should have made two tailgate options. The normal drop down and the multi pro if somebody wanted it based upon use I know the Chevrolet offers the solid tailgate, and less expensive GMC models do as well. For us, the mall, big Costco runs, going to Lowe's, carrying around dirt bikes, the honey-do-list. Definitely does the trick for us. Appreciate the comment and for watching! 👍
