Domi floods are not normal in Sri Lanka. After decades almost all of Sri Lanka had a heavy rains more than 250 mm per day, some area's had more than 450 mm in 24 hours . .that's lots of rain . The train had to take long hours due to rain floods and landslides. Locals know about the delays. Also tourists come to Ella purely to enjoy nature, hick s, nine arch bridge, and water falls. Have a wonderful and safe stay. Much ❤

You must be very tired after a 12 hour train ride..the reason behind the train delay was flood and heavy down fall of raining ..
