Bought one this week (my first emtb, and I’m 57), after riding a lot of different emtbs in Bentonville (Orbea Rise, YT Decoy, Marin Alpine Trail E, Yamaha Moro 07, Trek EX-E 9.8)…….the trek was pretty awesome, YT was too, but a bit too much bike). Spec is fine for me, as I live in Michigan and this bike is more capable than most trails I ride. Can’t wait to try it out on some bike park laps and select rough trails. Haven’t bedded in the brakes yet, and I’ve not ridden sram brakes in well over a decade (Shimano Saint on my meat powered bike), so it’ll be interesting at minimum! The NX drivetrain doesn’t bother me one bit as that stuff wears out anyway and is easily upgraded (I’ll definitely wait for sales!). The bike has an incredible ride feel and handling and I can’t wait to rough it up

Bought one through LBS two months ago, they gave me a discount too so it was 4500 , then my state has an EBike rebate (many do) so bike was 4150 for me. I have heard of others getting deals on bikes through the lbs over order direct recently , worthy of checking out at least.

This bike is amazing! Only complaint would be the brakes lack power for this bike. I have used both Code Rs and Code RSCs. Code RSCs are more powerful, but Code Rs are good for most types of riders and bikes. As for the Fork, I like Marzocchi Z1 just as much as my Rockshox Zeb Ultimate. This fork does not need to be upgraded, unless you are a person who enjoys messing around with multiple settings. As for the shock, I did replace it with a Marzocchi CR1. Again, I love this “budget” shock just as much as my Rockshox Super Deluxe Coil. I have a carbon Transition Sentinel V2 carbon and love it, but also realized carbon is over rated and aluminum frames are great. The Relay corners amazing and once I got used to the extra weight, I found it more confidence expiring on jumps! I have ridden everything from cross country to double black diamond trails and this bike handles it all with ease. You can’t go wrong with this bike unless you want a full power eMTB.

I would definitely save up and get the next level up to pnw alloy. Carbon would be better, but I like having 2 kidneys.

the PNW alloy does have a better spec.. i also like to have my kidneys 😆

Yes I believe both rocky mtn and intense both have on sale bikes for 4K

Performance of nx is not noticed with the drive system if properly tuned. Not like a regular bike where you get such massive improvement. Durability is questionable maybe. Weight doesnt matter things a tank 😂 wear it out swap it when you find a sale.

All bikes built in mass production, should all be very low prices now! This is why they keep putting Bluetooth gears and extras to keep price high, you do not need that to enjoy riding bikes 😉

Was going buy relay but price still high opp out for rocky instinct powerplay .. but nice bike 😢

NX ? Why not use the Shimano Cues?

Emtb specific shifter only does one click shifting. Nx one click is ok… Having said that the cable fixing bolt on deraileur broke on mine at 3 month mark. Now has one of my old gx units i had on the shelf.
