I recently picked up a 2022 Giant reign e+3 with upgraded Zeb fork and sram wireless shifting. She has 625w battery and its great! The 800w and 750w batteries are backward compatible. Gotta love Giant for doing that!

@frankiesemtb I picked her up on Facebook market, for 3100.00 with only 30 miles on the clock! Basically new.

To save weight these bikes should be fitted with a 400wh internal battery and a 200wh range extender should be included with the rrp and not an after-market purchase. Given the extenders weigh around 1kg and are not noticeable in a backpack then the buyer can always grab a 2nd extender after-market to bump the total wh up to 800 if they truly need it

Hmm that is a very interesting concept! I like it! Sometimes on short rides I really don’t need all that juice.

Good one Frankie! I wouldn’t worry about upsetting the biking industry. If there are enough voices like yours, they will listen, rather than shaping the narrative. There has to be independent voices, (un endorsed) genuine critical reviews rather than extended adverts of a super rider performing beyond belief stunts. Even now the top end bike prices are in the crazy range and the entry level spec is poor value, put together by accountants rather than biking experts.

Thank you! I enjoy this sport way too much (especially the ebike platform) not to voice my concerns. I don’t want to turn new riders by bashing everything instead want to offer a 2nd look at value and options. I hope to make an impact for the Better.

Like your reviews 👍 I don’t get the gripe with 800Wh, seems same ballpark as Bosch PowerTube 750Wh. Definetely entry level enduro bike, not for the racer nor pro rider. Cheers!
@frankiesemtb9 ай бұрын
Thank you! 800wh is big! This bike is built for all day riding but the components is a bit lacking if you go all day.

@@frankiesemtb Now that Bosch have introduced the 800Wh battery... Still think it doesn't make sense? Cheers!

If this enduro 800whr is good, those who think is too much because they use it on regular trail not enduro, people forget enduro requires uphill and quick downhill lol…
@frankiesemtb9 ай бұрын
800 is built for all day riding and yes enduro trails have lots of up and down!

There isn't one high end/ish EMTB that is " worth it " and No , using the comparison cost of all other similar bikes is not an excuse for the exaggerated and ludicrous prices .

I just hope manufacturers will learn from this year and keep prices reasonable in the future

I picked up the e+1 at an excellent price , same price as the recommended price for the e+3 , and the spec is excellent, I’m stoked
