Hey 3DPN it would appear you have the altitude hold version. After a lot of research I bought the non altitude hold version and this seam to be much more agile and aggressive in flight. I like the non altitude hold as it feels like I have more control. It import to note the 3 different rates you can choose from, level 3 on my one very copes with reasonable wind.
@TechnicallyNerdy6 жыл бұрын
Oh really? Interesting. Thank you!
@lancesmart26676 жыл бұрын
I have the altitude hold version & I agree with you regarding control, however its ideal for beginners & for taking steadyish 720p video. Mine also has the 3 speed settings & an adjustable camera which tilted down slightly so props are out of view would solve the prop shadow issue.

Great review! I got the same quadcopter, I wanted something cheap to explore fpv after I already owned a hubsan h502c. I agree it is very light and will drift in wind, the default lower speed rate will struggle but you can ramp it up 2 more steps, in the fastest it is very quick and quite powerful. I also found the range was limited compared to my hubsan, the fpv froze after 30m and it went out of range at about 70-80m luckily it auto landed. It's a great starter drone and ideal to practise flight skills. It's no Dji that's for sure but it's good for the money :)

1) The video distortion can be rectified by stabilizing the lens with a bit of double sided foam tape. A small home made hood can be installed at the same time or the lens angle can be dropped slightly so the props and their shadows are no longer visible. 2) For simple observation of structures within the wifi range of phone and drone, this is a very economical solution. I have already been contracted to do a brief overview of all the churches in my city at a very low cost to allow those responsible for up keep to have a record of their outer building status. If we find specific issues that they want greater detail on, they receive another video file of the suspect area at the same price as the first flight. No ladders, no climbing, no putting anyone in danger due to heights unless there is a problem that needs addressing.

If u wanna get into droning what's ur purpose play or use? U only wanna get a phantom or mavic if ur gonna be shooting a movie or something if ur on playing I highly recommend racing drones because they are very fast and they have high agility but if ur on useful purposes I recommend high end drones like matrice 600 dji phantom 4 pro dji inspire 4 the best and cheapest u can get is a dji spark or a dji mavic but this drone is actually good considering 250 meters of control range and u can do a lot of mods with it too with a WiFi fpv mod and a control range mod its enough for over 1 kilometer but BTW I think this is kinda like a spy drone because its small but neh its very noisy so and it has those lights going on...So have fun droning!

Hum, looks like a good entry level drone. At the least good for training people how to use a drone without the costs of a regular drone. Nice review and the editor insertion to explain the video issue at the end was a nice heads up.

"Toy" is a good classification. I have something similar, that is labeled as a "trainer." Small, lightweight, and will go sailing off in a stiff breeze. However, if you are just starting out and learning about drones, these featherweights are cost effective starting point.

I'm pretty new on the channel. Since you do reviews of RC models I think you should do more 3D printed designs in the future. Just a suggestion. I'm about to buy a 3d printer and 3d printing and designing my own RC models is a big incentive among other things.

Peon 230 is a really nice design and works well would probably want to get a decent flight controller and all though. To do a race setup with Fpv and all can get expensive if you aren't getting all the gear for free ( hobby king would probably hook you up though ) Few videos of it flying on my channel along with some other frame I picked up later. I've also been printing lots of little parts out of tpu for padding things.

Its very apparent to me that you were trying hard to not say the drone sucked because you got it for free even though the drone very clearly sucked. Still though, you found a way to get the point across, so props for that.
@TechnicallyNerdy6 жыл бұрын
well, you're sort of right. I originally had the thought, "I cannot recommend this thing, it's terrible for a drone." Then a friend who flies quads and drones WAY more than me pointed out that, at $50, it's a toy, and a trainer for those who don't want to continually crash a $1,000 machine. That to me makes sense. So, it does suck, but at the same time, it sucks for a purpose? Does that make sense?
@TechnicallyNerdy6 жыл бұрын
Also, you should see the emails to Banggood on this one, as I said multiple times, "This is terrible, you guys. Should I even review this?"
@Aidenn236 жыл бұрын
"Props" for that. Drone pun!
@Triptweeze6 жыл бұрын
I don't think you could have put it a better way than you did. Its a toy and less a drone. Cool product that could be really cool for someone just learning and wants something to bang around... (So to speak, I mean...it is $50) I believe that as time progresses and we see even more "drones" coming to the market, it's important that people know just how they perform. When people hear DRONE, their minds immediately go to glorious shots and high flying. Not all drones are created equally. Great video as always.

It's great stable toy that will help you get the feel of controlling drones without the crazy speed or erratic flights most drones tend to do. Smooth, stable and very forgiving for the amateur and entertaining enough for experienced. Unfortunately, If you want this drone delivered within a week and not the 4-5 week delivery from China. It'll cost you easily $65+ USD. That's a lot for a mass produced toy with all plastic components. Another big downer is most replacement parts aren't as available as other toy drones. You can find limited supply in the states and a larger selection...again, shipped from China with a long wait. Still fun, mine has 2 teeth missing from a gear and it still flies very well....waiting for my part to be delivered :/

I think these cheap toy-ish drones are great to buy if you want to get into drones but don't want to spend the Mavik or Phantom money. Test it out, see if you enjoy the drone experience, etc. then if you do, invest in something better. Sort of like a cheap 3d printer, but with less tinkering.

That lens is hilariously out of focus. It's focused maybe 30cm out, as you can see when it lands/ascends and when it's stuck in the bushes where the near plane is quite sharp, pretty good looking indeed for what's realistically a $3 camera, while you should want it focused uhhh at least a couple meters out, outdoors preferably to infinity! (and beyond. no, not really) Have you checked whether the lens can be turned to adjust the focus? It might feel a bit less like a toy if it can. And yeah the editor is right, i don't think it's RFI, i think it's just rolling shutter and propeller shadow, and you should 3d print a lens hood, given you might or might not be the 3D Printing Nerd, even if you're pretending not to be him today.
@TechnicallyNerdy6 жыл бұрын
Infinity and beyond! ha! okay, I did laugh at that one.
@jucieandrade85736 жыл бұрын
I am pretty sure you could have done better. 1. The lens focus wasn't adjusted properly before flying, resulting in blurred images. 2. This drone has 3 levels of speed and it appears you used only the slowest one. 3. The drone didn't break when it fell because it is light and sturdy, ideal for beginners. 4. And finally, this drone flies very well. See kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXvOqZWlg7qnjNE

"You are limited in distance because of WIFI"? I thought the WiFi was only between the controller and the camera. The drone sends back a simple radio signal, not a wifi. WiFi range is only 30-40 ft and this drone is capable of a much larger range.

It did suck, he criticised the drone for having 'weak' motors, when by default it is set to 25% power for beginners, pressing the left shoulder button once increases power to 50%, pressing twice increases power to 100% (easily powerful enough to combat a breeze), they also criticised horizontal banding & blamed prop shadow which can be solved by simply adjusting the adjustable camera at least until the props are out of view which you should do anyway... was a piss poor review...

I just purchased dji phantom 3. I've flown UAV's (drones can fly themselves) priced from $50 to $5000. I would never purchase one that costs less than $300 brand new and that would be a bare bones UAV with no camera.

NOT A GOOD REVIEW FOR REASONS AS FOLLOWS: Comparing a $50 FPV drone to a $1000 is idiotic. The Vizuo is an outstanding VALUE. This Vizuo matches 90% of the functionality of a Mavic at 5% of the cost. To say the Vizuo is a toy and not a drone is a complete falsehood. The Vizuo offers nine of the 11 primary features and functions found on $10k UAVs. Price/Performance wise, the Vizuo is THE best drone on the market. Go ahead, pay an extra $950 to get 15 more minutes of flight time and a 4k camera. The Vizuo is an outstanding ENTRY Level trainer UAV for developing flight skills and learning aerial photography.// There are two other interesting vids regarding this particular Vizuo model: one for installing a high capacity battery to increase the flight time to ~20 minutes, one two tweak the antenna system to dramatic improve range.// The performance attributes of this drone ARE accurate as described by Nerdy.

Really bad review. A bit like a Superbike nerd doing a review on a moped expecting it to be a superbike. Fyi, there is a gazillion reviews on the Visuo out there, yours is the first bad one iv seen and imo, its not because of the Visuo. Top tip, read the bloody manual, seriously! Its pretty clear you flew it right out of the box oblivious to every single feature the Visuo has, that in it selfe is a pretty amazing achivement if you ask me. Frankly, i cant tell if this is the first drone/quadcopter youv ever seen or if your first and only drone is the DJI Mavic.
@EdgyNumber15 жыл бұрын
This review sucks like the Visuo drone camera. The drone itself, however, is actually pretty good. Stable and... you have to set the power. It's a great drone for the money, and it'll teach you how to fly manually (no GPS) without spending too much money. I rate it.
