back in about 2008 uk building crashed. me and my missis printed up about 300 fliers and drove around posting them through letter boxes. work just kept coming ,and i managed to keep our heads above water until a site opened up . think outside the box.

Mate I told you a long time ago. The volume builders are just good for start up. As you said pick up a couple of high end domestic builders and you’ll be set. I went through the exact same thing when I was your age as a chippie. Keep your work quality mint and keep your work areas spotless. Stay humble and be a good honest bloke. Good luck

Back in the days it was an ad in the local leader newspaper. Often time wasters only looking for the lowest price. Definitely if you can get the enquiries coming to you rather than fishing for them the results should be better.

How did you end up getting the last brick in under the soffit? 😀

I put the last two bricks for the top course underneath the fascia and sat it on the top plate. I laid the final brick for the second last course and then reached through with my trowel to get the two bricks.

It’s hard times here in the uk. Cost of living crisis, and higher interest rate. People aren’t having extensions and renovations done so much right now. House builds aren’t selling either so they are not building. Will probably go crazy busy in 6 months
