when i first started out subbing i learnt a very hard lesson, not to spend all the money. you will get good pay days and bad pay days.try to live off the weekend jobs and top up with monday to friday jobs. name of the game is to get as much money you can behind you. more money behind you happier you will be.LESS STRESS.

Ty, mate, great videos you do. For us learning, could you chat more about the process. Things like, was that 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 mix. It looked like 1 cap of plasticiser as well, right. That was a lot of motar mixed for a small job, but I suppose it's easier to mix bag fulls, rather than 1/2 units for example. So what do you do with the left over. It looked like quite a drive back and it would have set in your wheel barrow by the time you get home. Do you bag the excess or something. I know lots of questions, but just trying to learn.

Hey there, thanks for that! In Australia we use a 6:1:1 mix, with 2 caps of liquid lime (Gibco). Yes it was a lot of mortar, but that is correct in saying it is easier to mix bag fulls. At the end of this job, we put the remaining mortar into those sand bags that were ripped up and then put to waste on one of our jobsites. It's not a big loss, but it is better than not having enough. If you are learning, please check out our How To Series videos where we go more in depth into some of the things that we do onsite. If you want to know something in that series, do not hesitate to comment an idea!
