This season is a full win if Oli AND Moze both get canned
@robertcrist5747Ай бұрын
"Oli thinks this team has gotten better?"........He should be fired for that statement alone. Apparently, he didn't see our old, bloated, dead arm pitcher yesterday tossing softball practice to a last place team?

I can't wait for Tyler O'Neil to hit 2 or 3 bombs back in Busch 😂... I wasn't mad about that trade, as it had to be done, and I'm still not. It's just another trade made two years too late. At this point? I'm reaching full-blown amusement by the ways this team continues to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Going to push the 100 loss threshold.

It's just not a good team of players, the manager and ownership are also weak. Can't make a silk purse from a sows ear. Time to rebuild. Get rid of Nado, Goldy, Carlson, Gorman Crawford, Carpenter for starters.

Other than Arenado, I doubt any team would want the other players you mentioned.

Nootbaar is coming along because they finally put him where he needs to be top of the order... not 3rd And it only took the Cards falling 7-8 games under .500 for Marmol to try it... (2 lefties leading off)

Interesting conversation. It feels like this coming up homestand going poorly could doom us for the next 5 years. I may just be too deep in the weeds, though.

My prediction for the 24 Cards "You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both, and there you have..." Those who know can finish it.

The Cardinals need to rebuild to a certain extend. I'd trade Goldschmidt Arenado Helsley Lynn Gibson Kittridge Mikolas and mainly all the veteran pieces for prospects. In the offseason i'd use the 26M coming off the books from Goldschmidt's contract to bring in somebody such as Corbin Burnes or Max Fried to pair with Sonny Gray in the rotation. I'd also invest some money in guys like Clay Homes, Tanner Scott or Jeff Hoffman for the bullpen. 3 guys that are shutdown relievers. Offensively they should go after Cody Bellinger and or Christian Walker in FA. Along with guys like Teoscar Hernandez and Anthony Santander. The Cardinals need a semi rebuild not a full rebuild. Their pitching farm system needs to be rebuild through trades from Arenado and Helsley. Offensively this team needs more bats from other organizations in the starting lineup. Also, need a new manager and hitting coach.
@markcapestro5390Ай бұрын
And u really think Moze could do even half of that??? 😂😂😂

the question of the year will goldie strike out 300 times this year I have seen every game this year I cant remember a game he doesnt strikeout at least twice at the current rate he may make his goal of striking out everytime there are risp

Its amusing listening to Bernie praising the current Red Socks regime while not connecting the dots to the Red Socks dismissal of Chaim Bloom. I still don't know why people want this guy to take over for Mo. Yes I want Mo gone, but I've seen nothing that says Chaim Bloom is who should replace him. If the Red Socks turn around is because of the new regime then that should be a huge red flag for Bloom.

The Cardinals were lucky to win two games against the angels should have lost one more
@chrisweidner476829 күн бұрын
Worst in MLB batting with RISP. So yea, they are horrifically anemic. Watching this dreck is a slog. As a fan, Hopium is always there, but weary of the lame talking points from a weak head shed. “Taking called strikes all night.” Well said Bernie. Their approach at the plate smacks of a losing mentality and lack of batting skill. No aggressive, confidence. Pathetic. “A good one comes in there, you swing.” Indeed. It’s embarrassing to watch. Hmmmm. Winn is finding success hitting it where it’s pitched. Something we learn when we’re 6. Amazing this game. 🙄 “It’s sad.” Indeed, However, Kenley gave it up last night for the “L”
@georgesouthwick700029 күн бұрын
I don’t think there is any team in MLB that takes more good pitches and swings at more bad pitches than the St. Louis Cardinals.

I am just glad they fired Shildt. I cannot stand a manager who does not agree with the front office. When I watch a team I never look at wins and losses I only look at whether the manager follows the orders given him by the front office.

Mo would rather lose with one of his “yes men” than win with a manager that refuses to go along with “the program”.
