@@ChadsCustomCreations if I knew enough to have an idea of how much stuff I'd have to buy to have a good chance to win, I would go for it, I really want an xtool Lazer cutter/engraver I have a cricut, so those functions are already covered, and the inkjet printing would be great but where I live it is so dry that a cartridge works for one use then it dries up and is worthless unless I print something every day, miss a day, cartridge is dead. I have lived here 4 years, I have gone through 4 printers, one had been working for 20+ years (near the beach where I used to live) and one for 3 years before moving here to the driest place on the planet. So both of those are dead, and one other, now I'm on my 4th printer, and it stopped working properly last week, and I have gone through 13 cartridges, I had 20 when I moved here so I still have some 56, 57 and 58 HP cartridge but they only work for a couple days then they are so dried up and clogged they are worthless... That was all a very long way of saying the color printing capabilities would be worthless to me, until I moved again.
@ChadsCustomCreationsАй бұрын
I wonder if you would still have this issue since when the print head is not in use it has a cover that is only removed when printing. Once it’s finished it automatically picks the magnetic cover back up.

13:00 You're wise to worry about faux leather. It's composed of vinyl (i.e. PVC) or polyurethane. Either would produce toxic fumes.
@ChadsCustomCreationsАй бұрын
@@AwestrikeFearofGods that’s what I thought. I did just find that this is labeled as “laserable” PU I was hoping to find a composition sheet about it on their website but couldn’t find anything. I know there are lots of other companies selling similar “laserable” leather but let’s be honest any fumes or even from just smoke from wood or natural leather is not something we should be breathing in.
@AwestrikeFearofGodsАй бұрын
@@ChadsCustomCreations Fair enough. Polyurethane, leather, and (to a much lesser extent) wood have nitrogen containing polymers, and so all can produce cyanides. However, I’d probably worry more about PVC.

I honestly would love to see them work on the V2 of this, cause the print module is amazing, and once they figure out how to get that to do white ink 'and' a bit higher resolution, then there's no telling what you can do.

@ChadsCustomCreations3 күн бұрын
@@aislingelizabethauthor no problem at all I am happy to help. This is what most call a diode laser which can cut lots of (opaque) not clear acrylics. And is most effective on say black acrylic. The true king of cutting all acrylics even clear ones would still be Co2 lasers like the xTool P2

Thanks for the great video! I'm wondering about that laser engraving "mask" for the glass mug--I've seen these on Amazon--some are green, black, blue, etc...but I saw you had a green one but it didn't laser engrave a green color. Is there a difference in which color of mask you use? Thanks for your time!
@ChadsCustomCreationsАй бұрын
@@ValYo0623 thanks for the kind words. As far as I understand it the color of the masking does not matter, what it does is it’s just there to give the laser light something to absorb into then the heat on the glass creates that frosting look that you see. This can also be done with just simple black tempera paint which may be easier to clean off too.
