And every time this question is asked the more people try to answer and they are not always giving accurate answers. I have a 315x . It has worked fine for 3 years. Last week I got a disconnect error and have been unable to reconnect it to cell or blue tooth. GPS coordinates are ok and GPS reads strong. Simm card displays error and carrier is blank. When I try and pair it again on blue tooth it won't generate a code. Mower is still mowing as per my schedule . Opened it up and confirmed it has an LTE card and reseated the connectors . ( no actual simm card in slot so must be an e-simm). I'm assuming my LTE board is bad. I have not tried a total reset as I don't want to wipe my programming and have to redo it manually at the mower.

Hey, first of all thank you for sharing so much about these mowers, you’ve helped me more than once. I recently bought a older stile 2017 450x, the owner said that it had the old connect board so connect didnt work which i was fine with, it was cheap, fogured id use it just with the keypad, once i got it home i realized that the gps wast working so i opened it up and to my surprise it has the newer lte board, but it says that automower connect and gps are not installed, any ideas? Maybe they replaced the board but never got the software updated?

Sounds like you will need to take it to a dealer for that issue if it's giving the message saying Automower Connect is not available.

Slight thing to add, CAT-M1 means while its not 5G, it will still work even if the 4G network was shut down, assuming the sim card is configured correctly (Weird limbo space of being 4G and 5G at the same time)

Does the mower require a sw update to work when installing the 4G board? Dealer has one on order for ever now and I understand they will swap the board, update SW and change blades. I have a mower I purchased for parts and it has the 4G board I was wondering about just swapping this board in?

Does the sim card in the old connect board have to be transferred to the new connect board?

6/1/2023 three weeks running a brand new 430xh & cellular is X. Service is AT&T in menu. Checked coverage AT&T map & it only shows 4G at my home. It's been running fine for 3 weeks. If there is not a 4G board in it I'll take it back. Ef'em!

​@Robotic Mower Services Thanks for all of your super helpful videos. They are the best on KZbin by far! I had a 430x installed 2 days ago and was told it was "brand new". When it arrived for installation it clearly looked like it had some use as the plastic body had swirl marks. The serial number starts with 18 and has 2018 printed on the mower. I questioned the installer and he was assured me it was new and just hadn't cleaned it. I indicated my concern over an old battery and he said I had nothing to worry about. What would cause a dealer to make this claim that its new when its clearly not? I know they had to upgrade it to 4g. They charged me $2k installed so I think it's a descent deal either way, but it seems they were dishonest. Thanks for the content!

Here's the problem with that: Husqvarna makes you pay for the upgrade. An upgrade to a device that I was doing fine with, would've cost me money if I wasn't lucky enough to have a month left on my warranty. That's messed up for everyone else.

If your dealer calls in to tech support they can most likely get a new 4G board goodwilled from Husqvarna for you if your machine is out of warranty.

Just got mine replaced with the upgraded 4g board. Checked carrier and it's T-Mobile, needless to say i ain't got no damn service and my Automower disconnects more than it did with my 2g/3g that was working off a AT&T that up till a year ago worked great. They probably saved a whole dollar going with T-Mobile and screwed thousands of folks out of a good connection. Mine is a 430X and was eligible for the free upgrade. Why they sent a card to my dealer that would not work at my house is beyond me. It doesn't look like they even considered the area that it would be operated at.

That's not how these work. These boards do not have a specific carrier that they work with. Some of ours use AT& T, some use T-Mobile, and a lot of them use Verizon now that the 4G boards can work on an LTE network. The board will grab whatever signal is the strongest at the time you activate it. If yours is saying T-Mobile then reset it in the mower's menu.

@@RoboticMowerServices reset goes right back to t-mobile. Husqvarna says I need to send the board back for an AT&T one if that’s what’s works in my neighborhood. They contradict what you say.
