Was hoping y'all would have asked Josh about his home track of Punta Gordo Speedway in Florida and how it was growing up racing Ross Chastain who was his biggest rival in that area. I've heard Ross talk about growing up racing Josh but I've never heard Josh discuss it.

This is maybe a dumb question, but all the drivers must have an agent, right? Like, I know the teams have to have people to meet with marketing managers, make presentation pitches, and sign the contracts. But we also talk about the drivers bringing and finding funding on their own, so they would have to have an agency they work with to also do those things, separately from the teams they drive for - right? I just always hear about the agents of players from stick and ball sports but never drivers. Is it kept out of the news/press more than other sports for any reason - like slightly taboo in racing to talk about - or am I just not plugged in enough/not paying attention?

I think what's kinda crazy about Sheldon is he was running really well in that 2 car at the end of last season, I thought he was running even better than his teammate at RCR and he should have punched his ticket to the final 4 before that last turn at Martinsville. I think he would have won a race already this year if he had stayed in that 2 car and kept the same team he had last season. It's almost like he took a step back slightly at JGR this year because he's learning a new team

Sam Mayer going to cup would be cool.
@michaelbrown76614 ай бұрын
One of the problems of drivers moving up is the drastic difference between the Xfinity cars and the horrible Cup cars ! So many differences between the two that even the very best Xfinity drivers struggle with the " Next Gen garbage " even some of the veteran Cup drivers are still struggling with the Next Gen cars !

Ken ragan back in the 1980's went from go-karts to Winston cup
@isparky42i4 ай бұрын
Two part questions, and this could be biased. Going back with Sam Mayer being overlooked on how we was not happy on not being recognized, and since that, now with thoughts or rumors that he might be move up to Cup, and it's maybe probably going to be with Hendrick, depending on where it goes from there, will this give Hendrick vs. JGR a whole new meaning, and, especially with the history between Ty Gibbs and Sam Mayer, could that also reheat the beef between the two as well?

Why is everyone constantly trying to replace Bowman? He’s finishes in the top 10 practically every week!
@Tow_Sr.4 ай бұрын
Agree hes tied in top* 10s with ONLY 3 other drivers this year , Bowman is safe in his ride. And hes signed to the end of 25 , I bet Mr.H re ups him again to 2027 or 28, , hes only 30

@@martyayers6648 good deal, and for all the Bowman haters out there , Nascar stole the Daytona 500 from him this year, HE SHOULD BE THE VERY FIRST WINNER THIS YEAR, THERE BS EXCUSE on when the button was pushed was just a cover up to give the win to Jeff Gordon's car # , the rule states WHEN THE ILLUMINATED LIGHT shows , then* WHO* ever is in front (on the last lap) is the winner amd BOWMAN WAS THE WINNER at the time of the yellow coming out , it showed it in his and Byron's cars , BUT he'll be ok. He is in a good place at HMS, and they will get him to victory , here very soon !!!

It’s more being the 4th best of the Hendricks 4. I doubt Rick/Jeff will replace him because Ally likes him but let’s say Caruth has a deep playoff run in the xfinity series in 25 Ally’s fingers might get twitchy for the 2026 season

Bowman is way to consistent with a very loyal sponsor. And we all know he is getting the leftovers from the other 3 cars. Untill bowman starts missing the playoffs when he competes in all the races or ally dips bowman will have a seat at hms.

At least a three race series for the championship is needed! I've come around to the playoffs as a concept. But deciding the championship with one race is egregious and makes the championship less "valued" in the eyes of many. Personally, I feel like the final 4 basically are co-Champions every year.

The path to racing in NASCAR? You would think talent would be the only route. NASCAR does have some talented drivers that deserve the seat they are in. But let's single out some of the current and past drivers that didnt/don't have the talent to 've in the seat at the arguably the highest seat in racing. How about Paul Menard? Daddy's money. How about danica Patrick? Picked for marketting. How about the Dillion boys? Only got a seat because of grandpa owns the team. How about bubba Wallace? Only in the seat because of skin color using him for marketting. Short term these drivers arguably brought attention to NASCAR but long term they drove real fans away. I use to watch to see the best race for a win. Today it's all about rich kids, markettability or gimmicks filling seats. Thank goodness dirt track racing is where the real talent races.
