Better then where I sent my grandfather who died last May. My family had no choice but to put him in a assisted living facility. My grandfather is a retired colonel, served in the Korean War and Vietnam, lived his life for this country but his pension was too high to live at the VA (he could live there if he gave his entire pension) so we found a place that looked amazing from outside and was suppose to be a place for retired veterans. After my grandfather was there they sold the place twice the last one to a drug rehab place. They kicked most of the seniors out but kept 20 of them one being my grandfather and tried lying to us about the situation until an employee called us. They were keeping my grandfather confined to his room, I was going to get a new place but then Covid happened and my grandfather died 4 months later. It turned out they hadn’t given my grandfather his eye drops and went blind, nor his medication. I way rather him have enjoyed his last years then the nightmare he lived and this is only 10% of the nightmare.
@harrisn3693 Жыл бұрын
OMG. I would’ve drone striked the assisted living home for trying to evade their duties. That is extremely cruel that they let your grandpa go blind by not giving his prescription eye drops. Give your grandpa my prayers and tell him I thank him for his service (though I ain’t even American) whenever you visit his grave.

eh gad...it sounds like an octoid nightmare! I'm old enuf to live in the villages -- but can't even begin to imagine doing so. Why would anyone want to live in a place where everyone belongs to the same generation and to some degree the same social status? This is like the complete opposite any natural diversity -- and I frankly hate the contrived 'diversity' that goes on at the political/social level in every 'blue' haven. But, there is certainly nothing bad about natural diversity, which seems totally absent here. This really looks like some nightmarish TV drama, not real life. I don't how many pools and restaurants it has. I'm 67 and live on 5 acres in a large ranch home in upstate NY...it's cold as hell here with 9" of snow on the ground, which I shovel every day it arrives. My dreamy retirement is right here, not in some 'creepy' (great word for it, I agree) artificial settlement. Yukko.....
