Well done video. AA and D batteries are both 1.5 volts. The Ds just have more storage capacity. There are adapters similar to the ones that you used that hold 2 or 3 AA batteries, and others that use AAA batteries to adapt to C size batteries.

I have two stick ones for my Diesel heater and the other for my lawnmower. It works great I got mine from Harbor Freight they are 13 dollars US a piece

Funny, I have had one of the stick ones for years, nieghbor gave as a gift. Everything is the same except the design has Changed slightly. It's a great product even if it lasts half the years mine has (9 years).

Love them battery adapters, and yes, endloops are awesome

Nothing wrong with how you operated these pumps but worth pointing out that not only were you using AA batteries vs. D cells as you pointed out, but also Eneloop batteries are ratted at 1.2 volts whereas alkaline batteries deliver 1.5 volts. So non-rechargeable batteries would likely give an even better flow rate. How much better? I don't know.

I bought two of the stick ones. Both lasted about 2 months when the motor crapped out.

I have the old version of the jerry can one 4 years and still works great. I will mention if you leave it in the sun the automatic shutoff can sometimes activate. Don't worry it's not broken just put it away and try it again later. Does the new version work with cap less gas tanks? the nozzle on the old version is too small to open it without fiddling with it.

I've had some good ones and I've had some bad ones in my industry. I have to use them due to how my equipment is situated. One of the biggest issues I've run into is that the hoses crack going from the fuel can to the nozzle and tend to leak the other ones I've run into where they won't pump but only when you hold the button

Harbor freight sells a stick version for less than US $15... I have three of them. I do like the other version for my jerry cans, though but it's a bit pricey....

Have you modified harbor freights hose with something else. The pump is great but my hoses always leak at the plastic clamp?

I got one of the screw-on pumps before (TERA PUMP 5th Gen TRFA01 Fuel Transfer Pump with Overfill Protection (2.7 GPM) Universal Gas Can Adapter, 39.4 inch Vinyl Hose, Liquid Transfer Pump for E15, E85, Gas, Diesel & More). It wouldn't pump gas more than 2 feet up, and nowhere near enough to refuel my GMC Sierra. So did they improve these or what? This was in Jan. 2023.

Not clear if you can siphon fuel from car tank into a gas can when you need fuel for something, Is tube long enough?
@TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOPАй бұрын
This one won’t work for this there is an end on the tube that wouldn’t allow it. I would love to test out a kit that allowed you to siphon from a vehicle fuel tank though if you have any suggestions

I wonder if their nozzle fits in the adapters that re needed in some new trucks (Ram)…
@TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP2 ай бұрын
The truck in the video I filled is a 2023 ram but it doesn’t have any special fill nozzle I looked on line to see if any of the rams have anything and coudlnt find it if you could point me in the right direction I’ll let you know if it works or not
@ADONAIsays-so2 ай бұрын
@@TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP it looked like it was about the same size as the funnel Ram supplies. I’m definitely going to check it out. We did a big trip last year with a travel trailer, and this Ram has. 23 gal tank….it was Sketchy at times making from point to point… A regular gas can and funnel was a big no go with this cap less filler neck

The older I get the more these are worth using. They keep your from holding 45lbs and spilling fule everywhere if your using a government approved fule can.

I agree completely I can still do it but my body doesn’t like it anymore

Using 1.2 volt AA batteries inside a can the size of a 'D' cell is like saying you can use your USB powerpack to start your car on a cold morning. Each 1.5 volt 'D' cell can source 10,000 mAh, which your substitutes can NOT. You are not qualified to compare things you don't even understand.
@pappyman179Ай бұрын
A 'Jerry' can is a VERY specific metal container, and you have NONE of them. Stop using 'Kleenex' for cheap imitation snot rags. IOW, stop using 'Jerry can' as if it means 'crappy plastic fuel container'.
