Without a doubt, I believe that the Fact that I prayed for my future wife long long long before I met her, allowed me to recognize her the moment I met her at UF in 1990. I was a former Catholic who was Born Again in 1979, and y'all know how we ex Catholics felt about the Church. Absolute True Story, when I saw her at a new employee orientation, the Lord whispered in my heart that this was my wife, and I wasn't happy because I knew she had to be a Catholic. She was wearing a small crucifix cross, but to me it looked like a huge cross that Nun's wear, and I wasn't thrilled. Turned out she had a boyfriend to boot. Had a good laugh, but God laughed louder 😂 I couldn't forget her and I soon found out that she was Free, and it was the Prolife ministry that brought us together to chat. I took her to the Baptist church, but she would insist on going Mass too. I said we already went to church, and she said that it wasn't Mass. 😒 Little did I know that Steve Wood was going to rock my world. In 1991 after listening to Steve Wood's four pack cassette tapes, I knew that I had to return Home 🙏 Pray for your future mate, and parents please pray for your children's future mate's 🙏 They will know them when it's time. Isn't God Grand 😁 March will be 30 years with this Most Excellent Catholic Wife. It ain't for sissies, so be ready to fight for your marriage. I married my soulmate! He is four days younger than me and grew up on my street. We were in the same kindergarten carpool in 1969. I’ve loved him since I was 11 and prayed so many novenas to spend my life with him. I am blessed. Not every day has been blissful, but we’ve made a commitment to learn about each other every day. He is truly my very best friend. 🥰🥰🥰

@@crohunter100 YES!!!! But I played with him at recess in kindergarten and I remember it. Having a similar background makes for an interesting relationship. We had the same 74 classmates (small town), participated in the same school activities, went to the same church etc… There’s very little we don’t know about each other. We also had 4 kids together. We will be celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary this weekend ~ July 2, 2021. True love exists. Soulmates exist. 💕

My brother and I went into a coffee bar and settled down to enjoy an evening of folk music and when the compare got up to announce the next song l turned to my brother and said I going to marry that man. Today is our 44th anniversary but he is no longer with me to celebrate having passed away 10 years ago. He was, or became, my soulmate and l have so many wonderful memories of our life together.

The romanticized Hollywood soul mate concept is dumb. However, if one's vocation is marriage, then God certainly does have a specific person asa part of his plan. God is a God of loving details. He knows what particular religious community you're meant to join, person to marry, occupation to work, friends you were meant to have. Probidence. We must be always docile to His will tho. Discernment, Freedom, & Providence. None of them compete with each other :)

Hollywood is the last place to look for anything, it actually is a bad influence to our kids and us......most people in Hollywood are beautiful and physically endowed people but still they can't keep their marriages, this just show us that sex and "love" alone can't bind true marriages...it takes commitment and a true love to bond marriage for life and divine bond by the sacrament of matrimony.

I knew that I wouldn’t have a church wedding (I was a Protestant), and that I’d marry a foreigner. I just didn’t know that my husband would be a [lapsed] Catholic. I later converted and he reverted. Before marriage, one day I thought to myself “I am with my soulmate.” He told me out loud later that day, “I feel like you’re my soul mate.” We took our detours before meeting each other but God made sure we arrived at our destination: in each other’s arms and in His Church.

@@marijacolak3438 it's not what we like to believe. But God always has a plan foe everyone as per scripture. Jeremiah 29:11. The book of Tobit clearly shows that Tobias and Sarah were made for eachother. Not everyone is called to be married as Jesus says. But even if you go against Gods plan and marry the wrong person, you can't divorce the person by breaking your vows (other than infidelity) again in scripture. That's why the church calls people to pray and discern, and in fact calls people to have a strong prayer life and relationship with Jesus instead of pursuing the instant gratification/hedonistic culture the world promotes.

@@marijacolak3438 yes true. Both marriage and religious vocations are vocations to holiness. If you read the book of Tobit carefully, you can see the angel Raphael advising Tobit on marriage. It wasn't Sara who was possessed. The demon killed people who although married to her approached her with lust. What the church teaches on marriage is reflected in the book of Tobit. Chastity in marriage. Thankfully ppl like Matt Fradd, Scott Hahn and Jason Evert and few others are stressing on this point. As Our Lady of Fatima said, many souls go to hell because of the sins of the flesh. God in defining marriage here on earth, preludes it to the eternal marriage of Christ and his bride, the triumphant Church in heaven.

I'm about to marry my soulmate. =) there is a very strong sense this is God's will over anything else and I couldn't be happier knowing my future husband is totally human and he recognizes this in me as well. Whether or not people have "soulmates", I think it is important to understand that God has prepared a partner for you to live out your vocation with, and if that vocation is marriage, the feeling of "AT LAST this is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh" will be present. My parents have been happily married for over 40 years. They also felt God's hand in preparing them for marriage. It is important to keep God's will front and center and love of God above love of spouse or self. Scott...please dont refer to women you interact with as "female" as in, "i was sitting next to a female"....she's a woman, or maybe a young lady or a girl...but I assume she's human, so we can be a little more dignified in referring to her as the appropriate state in life.

I like Hahn, that guy is smart. But I don't think he knows anything about true love. Yes a relationship needs TLC, it's a given. Yes, people can develop a deep relationship with each other and eventually get to know the other so well. Time usually does that. But what about that person, who you instantly connect with? You're the same but different. The ying yang, makes sense. The 2 become one flesh. What if that means not only a sexual relationship but also a true fulfilment of 2 individuals being united as one in all ways Eve was made specifically for Adam. Out of his rib. The 2 become one flesh (mind you, becoming 1 thru intercourse is most definitely a given, I'm also suggesting that is means emotional, physical, pyscholgical, completeness in every which way) .............Eve completes Adam, Adam completes Eve. One can argue that this could be considered a soulmate. By both guys explanations, I would say, they have not experienced that true fulfilment. This is not a good honest video on the topic. Both parties are speaking about something they know nothing about. I'm not saying they have no great advice on marriage, I'm just saying they seem to be ignorant on the subject.
