Greed of real estate corporations don't care about the water shortage or drought. It doesn't matter how much "regulation" there is somebody is gonna find a way to get around it for their own needs. Its the desert and there is no vacancy in AZ to support a large population with drought we're experiencing.

We are in a drought. Lake Mead is supplied by the Colorado River. The river cannot fill Lake Mead. The Federal government is set ration water to AZ in October if not sooner. AZ farmers already have had there water cut by 1/3.

Because we Native American Reservations, own the water rights here in ARIZONA. You colonizers pushed us in the deserts, we only asked, back in the 1800s that, we own water. So we Natives own water here. We will always give water to others, sharing is in our nature, like corn. And teaching colonizers how to farm on this dry land. We share what we can, off our small reservations. 😏🙄 I'm sure our leaders will work with you to rework, reform waterways like Verde, and Salt River ways. Always a way to share.😏

@@TMcConnaughhay No it's the truth we own the water never asked for money. Just pressed it against the big guy some times. We will never ask for anything, we will share. If we have enough 😉we will give. Let life flow.

Eventually the US agriculture industry will be forced to convert to drip irrigation as opposed to flood irrigation. The only question is HOW LONG it will take GOV to come to this realization. This is where all the water is going. Not lawns, showers, pools or golf courses. It amazes me that the GOV quickly restricts water to farms, ok, now where do you get food? I'm not a fan of all this stimulus crap, but I would support GOV funding to convert how we use water on agriculture. This will certainly solve the problem.

how about give everyone rain buckets that can keep away pest but still get the water for when it rain or let people build water towers on there land so the can switch between rain and ground water
@threegoodeyes7400
@threegoodeyes7400 3 жыл бұрын
If you collect all the rain, how will the ground water levels rise enough to be usable again? And if it doesn’t rain, like it’s been doing, you won’t have either. That’s what happens when you live in a desert during climate change.

If they had built a pipeline for ocean water …. Maybe but at this point no. Not unless there is a lot of rain and that doesn’t look possible at the moment.

As the drought tightens up; competition focuses on well water which is often pumped out at a faster rate than it's replenished. Then subsistence occurs where empty underground aquifers can collapse. In fact; the extra weight of a populated area with traffic and trains rumbling over it with water pumped out from directly beneath could cause entire towns to collapse into sinkholes or roadways to collapse. If there's a 10-year drought cycle without a new building moratorium in the desert' NOW & expansion grows at the current rate, just switching to well water could have a whiplash effect that would then be a biblical scenario in the future!

The data center water usage baffles me. If used for cooling, is it not returned to its source afterward? Even if it is turned to steam, condensers should recoup it all.
