It seems to me our duty as Christians is to point out of the evidence on secular KZbin videos. Pointing out the lack of erosion between the layers. And the other evidence that convinced me not to believe in evolution anymore was that the Colorado River at Moab Utah is that at a much lower elevation than the north rim of the Grand canyon implying a river would have had to flow uphill to carve it out slowly as the evolutionist believed, as now many admit there had to been some sort of flood, local of course.
@keithtauber4153 Жыл бұрын
Good point. I have contended that why did the Colorado river carve out the Grand Canyon but the Mississippi river did not carve one? Or the Ohio river or the Tennessee river? Only the Colorado. lol
@DocAkins Жыл бұрын
@@keithtauber4153 Gravity. As the rocks are pushed up there is a greater potential energy difference with sea level so the water can erode the rocks faster. The gradients of the other rivers you name are much less, so there's much less erosion.
@keithtauber4153 Жыл бұрын
@@DocAkins So you want me to believe that all of the other raging rivers that people go whitewater rafting on are somehow incapable of eroding their own Canyon, but the Colorado did? lol. No, these were cut by receding flood waters that covered the entire world.
@DocAkins Жыл бұрын
@@keithtauber4153 Believe what you want. Raised plateau with a strong meandering river over 100's of millions of years is the best explanation of the Grand Canyon. Whitewater rivers can erode deep gorges in much harder metamorphic rocks. Runoff from a global flood in less than a thousand years makes no sense because by definition the water was global, not local. The surface of the Earth doesn't have a large drain like a bathtub which is what would have been needed to erode the Grand Canyon in hundreds of years.

@@v1e1r1g1e1 I think you’re making assumptions about the surface, or should I say the crust during the deluge. The fountains of the great deep burst open. The water came from below with violent forces. Weak forces wouldn’t have sent it to the sky to come down as rain.

The Rocky Mountains must have been uplifted after the Flood. Geologists believe the Ogallala Formation came from erosion of the Rocky Mountains. They believe rivers and streams carried the gravel and sediments over much of the central and eastern United States. Perhaps the Grand Canyon was formed by uplift at about the same time. Ongoing torrential rainfall from the heat of this event (ongoing evaporation of water) would explain the twists, turns, and side canyons that form the Grand Canyon.

Other geologists say that Andrew Snelling is dishonest and takes low resolution photos of the Tapeats sandstone and has people stand in front of obvious fault lines. Lorence Collins says, "apparently Snelling has not examined the thin section orientations of the quartz grains and the silica cement in the two orientations to show that recrystallization has occurred that has altered their quartz grain and cement orientations in the folded rocks. He just makes the claim that he did not see any visual evidence of metamorphism. Only under crossed-nicols and universal stage examination and by cathodoluminescent studies can such possibilities be found and not just by visual observation."
@fridaytieday Жыл бұрын
Answer: Mt St Helens. This is not one man's observation. Collins is obfuscating.

@haggismcbaggis9485 Problem for you is Snelling has not used photographs in this movie- but direct samples for analysis. It's clear you haven't watched it, and that is because you're scared to learn the evidence is genuine.
@IsGenesisHistory Жыл бұрын
@haggismcbaggis9485 Thank you for your comment and for bringing up concerns about Dr. Andrew Snelling's work on folded rock layers. It's essential to maintain a rigorous and objective approach when evaluating scientific claims, especially in fields as complex as geology. First, neither Dr. Snelling or Dr. Collins are being dishonest. It's normal for scientists to have different opinions and debates in the scientific community. Different researchers often interpret data differently or employ varying methodologies, which can lead to contrasting conclusions. When it comes to Dr. Snelling and Dr. Collins, like with any scientist, we should carefully examine their research methods, data, and what they conclude. Second, the idea that Dr. Snelling relies on low-quality pictures or makes people stand in front of obvious faults is not accurate. He does not argue that these folded rock layers contain NO fractures, but that there are few or no fractures that have formed from bending. In his recent study of the Carbon Canyon Fold, he argues that these features can be replicated using damp soft sediment layers in experiments simulating compressional folding, which equates to soft-sediment deformation. Third, Dr. Collins is mistaken in saying that Dr. Snelling only used visual evidence to confirm the absence of metamorphism. Dr. Snelling's team utilized scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and cathodoluminescence (CL) imaging stage attached to a standard optical petrological microscope to look at their rock samples in detail. They found no signs that the quartz grains had moved or that the binding material had been disrupted since the rock formed. Many quartz crystals still looked like they did when they first formed. This suggests that the rock had not hardened before it folded. If you want to learn more, I suggest reading Dr. Snelling's papers on the Carbon Canyon Fold, which you can find here: answersresearchjournal.org/geology/carbon-canyon-fold-arizona/ I hope this helps clarify things.

"If those layers were still soft when they were folded they can't be 100's of millions of years old"? Why not?
@AbhorEvilRomans12 Жыл бұрын
Layers that are 100 million years old would be brittle and just break apart they would not bend smoothly. Besides that knowing the soft dinosaur tissue blood cells DNA found in dinosaur bones shows that the layers they are buried in are not that old as well.
@DocAkins Жыл бұрын
@@AbhorEvilRomans12 This has nothing to do with dinosaur DNA. Pressure at depth and temperature allow ductile deformation. It's not true that the only explanation is a recent global flood. The statement I quoted is false.

@@haggismcbaggis9485 - _"What if they were soft 100 million years ago when they were bent?"_ *The layers themselves are each supposedly 10s or even hundreds of millions of years old, and have become stone long before the subsequent layer is fully formed. The only ones that can claim multiple layers forming rapidly, and being bent or folded as a unit before becoming lithified are believers in the biblical Flood event. If evolutionists give up their stratigraphic timelines, their entire argument collapses.*
@haggismcbaggis9485 Жыл бұрын
@@freemind.. I think a more likely model is that there were annual floods that layered sandstone in that region. It only has to harden for year before it gets washed over again. Dr. Snelling's paper refers to trilobites running for their lives while the flood rushed in. I think that is an overreaching conclusion because you find trackways all throughout the Tapeats strata. There are also alternating periods of erosion and deposition, so the entire unit may be millions of years old, but not necessarily one layer from the next layer.

Rock does not bend unless it is still plastic. All of the folds show continuity of formation. Think differentiation, not Sedimentation.

Look carefully....God's Giant Trees...wood grain, root systems, cut off and rotted stumps...It takes a little time to grasp, but once you understand you are not living on a spinning ball....you will see that God did things on this earth in the Past ages...including at one time, populating it with massive trees. It IS Biblical.

Can you please explain where in Scripture you are getting this idea from? Specifically the giant trees but also the “not living on a spinning ball”
@zumbinisgm Жыл бұрын
I love and believe the Bible and recent creation. But the Earth IS a spinning globe hanging in space on nothing.That is the reason that the Sun appears to rise and set daily, and why the stars appear to move across the sky nightly. Because humans are small compared to the Earth, the curvature of the Earth is not obvious to us. . But gain enough altitude in a jet or a rocket, and the view clearly reveals that the Earth is a globe. With sufficient height and speed, spacecraft can orbit the Earth, proving Earth is a globe, not flat. Astronauts going to and from the Moon over 3.5 days have seen and videos and photographed the turning of Earth every 24 hours.Why you deny what God has done and is doing. I praise God for His power and beauty displayed in the universe. I think you are definitely blinding yourself to some of the things God has done and is doing.

Discovery: Biblical creation is not the creation of a material universe. The things of creation are metaphors for spiritual nature not material nature. Over time and experience Old Seers have found spiritual interpretations to be correct. Material creation is incorrect. There now exists two distinctly opposing understandings of biblical Creation. No others are possible. The universe contains only 2 things that everything can be derived from, material nature and spiritual nature. No other interpretations are possible but these two SAMPLE: In the beginning there was created the sprit and soul. And the soul was without knowledge and ignorance was upon the surface of the man/mind. And it was caused that he be enlightened, and man became a "living soul". This is the first knowledge. (day)

Watching stars and planets being formed is a very popular field of study in Astronomy. You should Google "star-forming region" It's a region with very young stellar objects (YSOs) located and their formation is likely occurring. Due to the limits of the speed of light, what we see now happened Billions of years ago. With billions of objects to look at this is very common.
