0:00 What's the word y'all. AND WE BACK 0:25 Talking about basketball outside of today's games 0:44 Talking about the Nets superteam, is there parity in the NBA? 1:52 How the Nets team was constructed, was parity for last year 2:40 Every game in the bubble was unknown, Lakers chip was uncertain 3:12 This team was gonna be amazing, chance to see a chip matchup that we never saw 3:40 Is parity starting to fade away? LA doesn't really matter, talking about his little value 4:44 Smaller teams upset might need to change the buyout market, big names just want a chip 5:43 Remember Russ's crazy stat line, looked crazy, media doesn't make sense 6:33 Double standard on how to value chips, people don't enjoy basketball the way it should be 8:01 Chips matter, but doesn't undervalue the performance for no chip people 9:06 KD has been in some contrevisty. NBA players don't care about Twitter 10:05 KD wants to win chips, had a big influence about Harden trade 10:45 Question if there is parity, I think that there is 11:03 Rockets vs Nets game, Nets have just so much talent 11:54 Talking to people to some old heads, doesn't enjoy basketball for lack of loyalty 12:27 How much can loyalty go far? Isn't good for a career sometimes like CP3 and Dame This was really hard pinning each moment, and I make constant basketball content, I do NBA stories, talk, and highlights, all support is appreciated!

I think loyalty is important to the extent that it helps create parity, which is what you are speaking about. Old school fans tend to be fans of teams, and with players moving around all the time, being a fan of a team can be pretty painful if your team isn't a big market team because tomorrow your team can be gutted. You don't even know what to root for.

As for the East, its not as competitive, but theres so much young talent in the NBA, its just so fun to watch. As a life time NBA fan, i think its more exciting now than ever. Sure, it probably will be Brooklyn & LA, but i personally enjoy the regular season with the new and old talent battling it out. The big thing people need to remember about the Nets is their defense, especially with bigs. Who’s guarding AD, Embiid, Jokic, Bam, Giannis? There are dominant bigs almost no matter who they face throughout the playoffs. Its not like teams cant gameplan them
@hahahahaflyer
@hahahahaflyer 3 жыл бұрын
Exactly nets are going to miss Allen a lot. I think bam with the heat cast would give them the most trouble between the guys in the east. Butler clutch as shit and will guard harden or kd every possession if he has too. Vic and dragic off the bench means they can match Brooklyn’s bench when they keep 1 star with it. Herro ducan both deadly. Lakers imo will beat them. Ad is too much for them, he’ll get the lakers into the bonus in the 4th quarter. People will complain about the refs cause all the nets players will be able to do is foul. Claxton,jordan,green,LA,Griffin and kd can’t and won’t be able to guard ad for 7 games. Only way they stop him is for him to get in foul trouble from the big 3 attacking him when they have the ball. Truth be told I’d be more shocked if they actually win. This ain’t the warriors people just caught up with big names

The nets have beaten the heat twice after the harden trade cuz them boys have no rebounding, and beaten all of those teams before or after the harden trade too. I get the loyalty argument. Not as a player, but as a fan. Like you for example, you’re loyal to Chicago Bc that’s YOUR TEAM. Now, I grew up in Ct. I don’t have a team. So I liked certain players and would gravitate to their teams. But when they’re switching teams every 3-4 years, I never connected to an organization, only certain players. Makes being a fan harder.

The time machine challenge: This challenge will probably take a while so you might want to do it in several episodes or parts Here’s how it works You restart the league and take the current roster of the nba or you could do 40 ovrs and the next draft will be 1960 and the next will be 1965 (because they don’t have 61-64 in 2k) then 66,67,68 and continue You will be the Bulls (your favorite team) and your goal is to be the greatest franchise in NBA history

You are so smart my guy, I wish more nba fans were like you. Championships aren't always the end-all-be-all for great players. Every casual fan shits on Russ all the time, but he's just hoopin his heart out every day. Can't we just appreciate greatness? Same with Barkley. Everyone gives him shit all the time for no ring, but do they do it for AI? For Stockton or Malone? For Reggie Miller or Chris Webber? They don't. People find a reason to hate someone and then everyone who's uninformed just jumps on. Let's be better as fans

The thing that I hate is when lakers fans come out sayin “ay yo! We got Drummond the league is over. We goin back to back” and then a week later they’re sending him death threats and stuff like that. I hate how people just assume everyone who gets picked up off the buyout market is the one player that’s going to carry a team to a championship. If it were that way then they wouldn’t be getting bought out.

You can still watch and enjoy basketball w/o parity in the nba, we had some of the most entertaining playoff series battles during golden states dynasty run. However, I believe that parity makes the nba more exciting because a greater number of fanbases are engaged because they actually have a chance to win something. Ultimately, I can’t fault the players for doing what’s best for them but I wish that more small market teams had opportunities to compete at the level of Brooklyn or LA when it comes to signing those big name players.

Thanks for posting this! I'm pretty indifferent to parity since I enjoy basketball and the more concentrated the talent the higher quality of their play tends to be and I can just enjoy that. I was happy with the Raptors won (I'm from TO) but I was sad because they GSWs weren't at their best and players kept going down. I hate to see injuries because the fans miss out. I guess I'm saying, there are fans of teams or players or loyalty or whatever but I'm a fan of basketball so I like to see good play, good players, good sets, good coaching etc... I don't think parity changes how much or how little I enjoy the game. The skill level of basketball, I think, is at an all time high and that's fun to watch. I'd like a bit more given back to defense though. It's too easy to score in most cases but other than that, I really enjoy following NBA now more than ever.

NBA parity is a pipe dream that we all keep wanting to believe in despite reality. There's always only been one or a few giants at the top of the league that every other team and fan wants to see fall. They eventually do, and this transitory period is when you get your anomalous championships (the Rockets double in '94 and '95, the Pistons run in '04, and the Raptors in '19, etc). But after these brief moments of what people might call opague parity, there immediately comes along some other team to step into the shoes as the titan of the league. Historically, domination is the normative phase of the league.

I think there is decent parity but a huge issue that can’t be ignored is the opportunities for big market teams Vs small market teams. Small market teams have to work 100 times harder and need to get lucky just to compete. You can bet that every year, Boston, New York, LA, or Chicago are in the talks for championships and they always have an advantage over everyone else.

Michael Jordan: • 1-9 without Scottie Pippen in the first round yet his fanboys ridicule LeBron’s finals record • Gambling addict • 1996 Eastern Conference Finals Game 6, the "GOAT" in the last 2 minutes airballed a fadeaway, passed the ball into a turnover, and then with 22 secs remaining, behind by 2, MJ turns it over • 0-6 record against Bird • HAS A NEGATIVE RECORD WITHOUT PIPPEN. 154-179 • 1997 ECF, the "cold blooded killer", MJ, was up 3-0 against the Miami Heat, and instead of eliminating them and destroying them to make the finals, MJ shot 9-35 and allowed the Heat to steal a game • Quit basketball multiple times • Cried to the media about the Bad Boy Pistons "Wanting to hurt him" • 7-21 record in the playoffs before pippen became an all-star, Pippen was still a good defender before • Got passed in career scoring by "LeBum" James and MJ had a 1000 more shots attempted • In game tying/go-ahead shots in the last 10 seconds of a playoff game, MJ is 7-15 Forcomparison, LeBron is 12/23 • Got clamped 6-19 shooting and 3 turnovers in 1996 finals game 4 by an injured Gary Payton • Averaged 20 on 20 shots in his 15th season, for comparison LeBron made All NBA first team and was an MVP candidate in his 17th (!) season • Outscored by Danny Ainge (🤣🤣) in an elimination game

@@nowdoyouunderstandpain6066 Jordan at 39 before Artest broke his ribs 3rd in MVP convo 3rd in ppg Led the wizards to the 3rd seed Single handedly carrying the Wizards without Hamilton Pippen Finals career: 14ppg, 6ast, 6reb 41%fg 23%3p Pippen in elimination games: 7.5ppg 25%fg 4reb 3ast (let Kobe, Malone torch him and dropped 27ppg on his head. Also let Magic drop 19ppg 12ast per game with only 11 attempts in the finals and Pippen averaged 5 fouls defending Magic. Overrated Defense💩) 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩 Drew Gooden’s Finals Career (a so called plumber by bronsexuals) 13ppg 8reb 50%fg 88%ft Drew Gooden in elimination games: 11ppg 11rbg 42%fg Drew Gooden is a better performer than Overrated Pippen🤣🤣🤣 If Lebron was playing with Pippen, Bronsexuals would be convinced that Pippen is the worst playoff performer in NBA history and they would call him a plumber. The fact that MJ had to carry Pippen’s choking ass every time is nuts. Lebron’s teammates who are better than Drew Gooden: Dwyane Wade Kyrie Irving Anthony Davis Kevin Love Chris Bosh Mario Chalmers Dennis Schroeder Andre Drummond Zydrubas Ilgauskas Larry Hughes Mo Williams Jr Smith Jordan Clarkson Montrezl Harrell Brandon Ingram Kyle Kuzma Lonzo Ball Jordan’s teammates who are BARELY better than Drew Gooden: Overrated Pippen Dennis Rodman (Mj’s best teammate) Rip Hamilton(Wizards teammate, doesnt really help on MJ’s legacy anyways) Toni Kukoc Horace Grant Bill Cartwright
