The Ford Raptor has gone through some changes and updates since the first generation of this off road truck. Under the hood is the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 that is producing 450 HP & mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. On the outside it is nothing but the business. Under the skin is Fox ACTIVE off road race suspension. On the inside there is plenty of room, plus some really nice quality pieces. Is this 2020 Ford Raptor the ULTIMATE off road truck bargain?

As a Ram fan, the Raptor almost pulls me into a Ford truck. The price keeps me out because I really don’t need an off road race truck. However, it’s an awesome vehicle that looks even better in person.

I am TRD guy and this my favorite truck see and desire. Honestly it’s not a bad idea to get a raptor, because you could turn around a sell it for almost no loss because they retain their value so much. Lots of 10 year old V8 Raptors still selling for over 40k.

I am still loving my 2019 Raptor after 8 months. I usually get bored with new cars after 30 days, however I am smiling every time I drive the Raptor. Styling, performance and ride quality are all great and I have no complaints so far.

joey L I love the V6 Turbo. It is much more powerful , responsive and efficient than the V8. In regards to reliability, I don’t know if it will last as long as a V8.

I only have 9I miles. The v6 turbo is fast, responsive and fun. Will it last over 300k like my Toyota? Probably not, but my Toyota was transportation and this is fun.

I absolutely LOVE my 2019 800a (base mode) SCAB Raptor! The base models are such budget friendly raptors, sure no bells and whistles but its STILL a raptor! And I agree, I gambled on the EcoBoost and don't even think about a v8 while driving it

When you think about it there really isn’t a truck that can compare to the raptor , I drove one the other day and yeah it isn’t a V8 but...that V6 was HELLA FUN! Especially when hit the gas and can hear the turbos spool up.. I would recommend buying one !!

Completely agree with this review. Buying a raptor new the 801a option is completely the way to go. For options get the torsen 4.10 front diff and you’re good to go cameras if you want to splurge. The 802a is the better used car buy(although there’s no good deal on a used raptor) but new it’s not worth the ~10k premium

The only raptor owners that agree the v6 is plenty good and doesnt need a v8 are the ones that never owned a 6.2. I am still with my 2014 raptor and waiting for the raptor to have a V8 again because the V6 model is just does not have the same "MAN" feel and drive as the 6.2

Why, not put the 6 1/2 ft bed on the Extended cab version? Bugged me ever since the Raptor came out. Then they could have used just one wheel base for all the Raptors that way (the supercrew wheel base) for both cab configurations that way. The Extended cab with the more usable bed length option just seems crazy not to offer.

I purchased mine for 63k cash with the 802A package fully loaded, plus a few upgrades by the previous owner, I bought it used with 4,124 miles on it. The MSRP was 71k. I love the truck obviously lol, I guess people just have to drive it to see if it’s for them. I live in The Napa Valley we have plenty off roads trials.

But similar to Pax power’s conversions and now the Tremor package for the super duty’s; I’d love to option out an XLT with a raptor package with the upgraded suspension and wide body (possibly upgraded headlights too) with all of my basic options/interior at a more realistic 38 - 48k price point and that 5.0, am I crazy???

Yeah they do, most Raptors do have the push buttons. Most of them have push button start, even the 2019/2020 raptors still do. Some of them have key ignitions but I know this because a good friend of mine has a 2019 raptor and it has a push button start in it. Look it up.

Raptors are one of my favorites but like I said that white 2019/2020 F150 Limited is still the truck of my dreams. Just like you've mentioned that you'd get to work on time in a hurry, I probably need something rewarding like that. I had a blue 2014 F150 Limited back when I was a junior and senior in high school. And of course another good friend also had one like mine except it was red with red leather in it. So anything to make up for what happened to it in the summer of 2016, the year I graduated. Loved it man. Big fan of Ford's Limited trucks. I bet it's alot faster than a GM truck with a 6.2 V8 in it.

This and the Colorado ZR2 are my favorite offroad pick ups. I actually think the Colorado is even better than the Raptor offroad due to it's more manageable size. That said, I have always loved the Raptor, turbo V6 or not. Ford needs to bring us the Ranger Raptor.

At that state of tune, 93 for sure. It will run on 89 (Or 87 for that matter, they have to account for people putting the wrong octane in it), but the engine ECU is going to pull timing and boost. Basically, if you want all 450HP, it drinks 93. Hope that helps. 👍
