The current half-ton segment has some great options and each of them have their own off-road variant, but none of them are quite on the same level as the new 2020 Raptor (yet). This 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor is still a sweet truck with a lot of good stuff to make it more capable than any other full-size truck int he half-ton segment. Best part concerning the rear seating with the seats up my German Shepard has a lot of room which is very easy on the driver I have a 2018 lariat that is super loaded drives unbelievable so many options it’s been 2 years I still don’t know all of them had I been younger I would have bought the raptor but my lariat is the best vehicle I have owned in 45 years of driving an I can’t imagine a better one ever being made well done FORD

Power seats are standard, glad you caught that and 17 (Gen2's) was the first year for the Raptor to be 500lbs lighter (than the Gen1's, 2010-2014).

And believe it or not, depending on how you drive the Gen 1's you can still get pretty good fuel economy despite that extra 500 pounds. I've got the 2010 with the V8 6.2 and I have gotten 15.8 mpg's as a "daily driver" but it also depends on your tire pressure as well. I keep between 64.5 and 65 psi and it does make a huge difference on the highway drives. Short trips will kill any fuel economy but overall I am happy with the fuel mileage. I've also got a fuel saving sticker on my rear window that reads "not fast just loud" I usually keep it between 55 and 60, but I've had to give it the beans a time or two and it will stomp the yard when necessary.

@Ike N Close. Truck is for utility purposes (i.e moving, going dirt biking, camping, etc), Navigator is for family. GT500 is daily driver, GT is for dates and special occasions, Aviator is for the wife.

Ike N I have a 2018 Mustang GT and it is a good daily driver, so I imagine the GT500 would be even better. The extra speed comes in handy for yellow lights and turning into traffic.

Glad I found your channel ! Real quality content. I was battling raptor vs rebel myself and went with the 19 rebel 12, need that V8. You have to review a 2020 rebel or limited. Makes the raptor interior looks ancient, holding off till they come out with the V8 once again.

A solid profile on the new Raptor, you covered it well! For that kind of money they should have kept the V-8, Ford is obsessed with small displacement motors now & with the turbo they just won't last as long as a V-8. Many simply prefer American tried & proven V-8's. I think the Ram has the best half ton truck, power, great looks & options.

I’ve had the opportunity to drive it for prolonged periods before and can’t remember the dB ratings...but typically I would do 70mph on concrete interstate and 55mph on either surface county road and both were around maximum average 69-70 dB if I remember right. It’s still a pretty quiet truck

Prime Autotainment Thank you. I’m aware of constant noise on a long trips. When driving 4 to 7 hours I just getting tired quick in a noisy car. The Velar is a great example of a quiet car. I can listen to a soft music as I’m home. I know the truck is a truck I just try to show you a perfect silence for me on the road. 60-65 dB is great for example.
