Great review and nice editing, videos are looking really professional as of late. Stiffer than blast, might give it a shot, although I've still got 120 mtrs of Isospeed to get through. 😂

Hi Mark, I don't know if you have considered trying the Head Sonic Pro Edge? It's a shaped co-poly which is not only among of the cheapest big-name string brands (£65 a reel here in the UK) but is has TW scores in the 80s for all its categories, with a 74 for power which is very high for something that scores 80+ for control, spin and play duration as well. I've never seen another string rated like it (although it was rated almost 8 years ago now) and testing it, I felt like it reminded me a bit of Solinco Confidential. I would love to hear your no-BS take on this string and how it compares to the other giant-killers you've reviewed on your channel, especially given how budget-friendly it is.

Surprisingly I have heard really good things about Head polyester strings (Head Sonic Pro Edge, Head Lynx Tour, etc) - I will definitely keep an eye out for it! When playtesting, I definitely try to not look at other review strings... whether or not its an independent string reviewer or retail string reviewer (Tennis-Warehouse, TennisExpress, etc). Side note - take anything reviewed by a retail reviewer with a grain of salt. Remember - they WANT you to buy strings because they have a profit incentive.

Hi Mark - hope you’re well, another great vid, Is there a string that you’d recommend that is an upgrade on the RPM Blast, I use the blast on my racquets and like it, I just wonder is there something better? Best from London!

IsoSpeed Baseline Control, Tecnifibre Razor Code, and Yonex PolyTour Pro are all better than the Babolat RPM Blast

@@MarkSansait Hi Mark - just to follow up, bought some Polytour Pro strings, I use a Babolat pure strike 16x19 what tension would you recommend to string at? I've read that with the PTP you should string lower than usual? - TIA
@rahee12314 жыл бұрын
Nice review, just subscribed! I use this string as I find the control really very excellent. As you mentioned the spin potential is good but not as good as some others out there, however I feel like if you have the correct mechanics you can get plenty of revs out of this. I string it super low, sub 40lbs in my ezone 100 2020, and I find the control to still be there, and it really compliments that racket! I am very reluctant to change but a lot of pro hurricane users in my area are moving off to poly tour pro, in your opinion how do they stack up against each other with regard to control. I believe poly tour pro is still a low powered string, but spin potential will be similar. Please correct me if I am wrong..
Mark what about the Hurricane Tour Feel?? It was the blue babolat co-poly

Great review. Was this the Hurricane Tour? I believe that’s the re branded name but could be wrong. Nice haircut btw, you look so different, lol.
@MarkSansait4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm still a bit taken back when I look in the mirror. Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour is NOW called Babolat RPM Hurricane. Babolat Pro Hurricane is a completely different string that I believe is no longer manufactured.

I wouldn't consider a slice that just dies is a good thing for a baseliner.
@MarkSansait4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your opinion. I think its good because it forces your opponent to really hit a low contact point shot. Way below the level of the net!
@pencilcheck4 жыл бұрын
@@MarkSansait usually when that happens it also means the ball is slowing down. Might’ve just call it a crappy drop shot that still bounce forward to service line. Usually these type of shot still allows the opposition to drop you and then becoming a volley battle. And if you prefer approach and coming in at your own pace as baselines you just gave the other side a way to regain control. A good volleyer, drop shoter can easily turn this around. This is just based on someone who consistently do that to me on my accidental slice drop shot and I get a bit frustrated
