Woodswalker 1965, We’ve pretty much had the same weather here in Saskatchewan. This Wolverine Knife looks pretty capable of doing any task needed, my kind of knife. I would have my sheath maker make a nice leather sheath for it. I still haven’t come around to Kydex Sheathes (to me leather is much nicer). Nice to see a new video from you. Our winters here in Canada are just too long.

Beautiful demonstration of a reliable heavy camp knife. This one reminds me of my Becker BK2. It's also a saber grind blade that I slapped a secondary convex on. Brilliant chopper, just like yours. Anyhow, thanks for sharing this one with the rest of us. Greatly appreciated. It's always such a joy to see a competent and thoughtful woodsman. Cheers from Montreal QC

I was skeptical of the whole knife. The design seemed off. Poor choice of materials all around. Not very appealing visually. But as soon as I saw that it was chipmunk approved, my whole perspective changed 😁 Seriously though, I’ve known Alex’s online presence for almost a decade now. Great guy and a surprisingly talented knife designer. I love the blade profile and the overall size is my preference for a knife. A true one tool option. If anyone was undecided, the back to back shots of slicing an onion and then going right into batoning fat wood should convince them this is a quality knife!!

Sweet blade! Guess it’s prone to rust, though? Thanks for the review 👍🏼
@Woodswalker19652 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yes, this steel needs to be cleaned and dried after use or it will rust. I would say it’s similar to 1095 in the way it stains up. I’m a bit obsessive about my knives so I clean them and polish with Autosol metal polish to protect it.👍

Went on their sight the day and time that the Kodiak and Wolverine were to be released and never saw any Kodiaks drop so decided to buy the USA-made Bark River Aurora in Magnacut (fantastic knife) and the Rieff F6 in CPM3v. I am not willing to play games to purchase a knife that I can make myself out of 1095 or O1 Tool Steel.
