Thank you Jaws Jr. You have a few very intriguing pieces of petrified wood in there that are absolutely gorgeous and they aren't done yet Wow wee 👍🏻

@@1JawsJr I was joking, I wonder if you could change the sprocket around to make it go faster.

Interesting video. Speed makes the difference. My hubby just rebuilt my tumbler. He has been doing lots of adjustments to get the speed right. I just bought my first 12 pound barrel for it, I get to open in on Monday. I've got a video of it on my channel too. The wood in your barrel is lovely

Polishing rocks is a lot like taking Sunday drives. Somes times you don't know how long it's a going to take, or what beautiful things you will see on the journey. I hope that your camera-shy young lady enjoys her channel. God bless both of you.

For the reason why you stated is why I like doing this so much, but why it is so hard to give advice to others, many cases you never know if something is going to turn out or not. The Mrs has her own channel, check it out here:. kzbin.info

@@1JawsJr Actually I watched one of her videos already. That's how I knew about taking Sunday Drives. I'm already subscribed to her channel as well. The two of you are blessed to have each other. It's neat to see people just enjoying life.

How do you drill medium small holes in Petrified Ginseng? I think it is similar to Petrified wood. With a ceramics bit? Wood Bit or ? Please advise

That pet wood is going to look amazing when it gets all done. You have some really nice pieces in there. If the barrels role to fast doesn't that chip up and damage what you are tumbling?

Through a lot of testing with these barrels, I have found the optimal speed range without chipping. I found that 45RPM is where significant chipping starts for harder material. Right now, I have nearly the same amount of small chips in the barrels from the hard corners being knocked off in the QT12 and in the Beast. So that tells me that I am at a good RPM. now the beast I can slow down to about 35 to 36 RPM, which is right at maximum RPM for a barrel of this size for the obsidian.
