Be careful around the Yellowstone for the next little while, KatyDid! A bridge collapsed, dropping some train cars into the river and contaminating the water with hazardous materials. If you want to hunt the Yellowstone for now, best to do it upriver from the crash site between Reed Point and Columbus, in an area about an hour west of Billings.
@KatyDidRocks Жыл бұрын
Thanks - but the material that was spilled solidifies quickly in cool temps, and it's about 200 miles away - so even though the river flows this way, the material that leaked from the cars is likely not to make it very far. Thanks again for the concern!

You really killed it on the wood Kate!! It was everywhere up there! That spot seems better than some of the lower river spots dont you think? The coal seam was awesome. Its just carbonized wood, very similar to petrified wood. I wonder if thats why theres so much pet wood in the area? Maybe it formed kind of like the coal seam?
