Is this a new way to make illegal blocks now? - Minecraft

So I saw a thing just like shown in the thumbnail in the minecraft side of tiktok... way too many times. So I decided to try this weird Minecraft contraption to see if it works and actually make me multiple illegal blocks. The results are pretty interesting lol

In Java redstone cannot stay in place on top of the piston because when the redstone updates the flat piston it switches out the piston model for the slightly less wider base of the extended model- and the tick difference between Java and bedrock means that the redstone notices the piston underneath it was removed and triggers a drop, rather than it being switched and replaced so fast that the redstone doesn’t tick a block update. You know like when you destroy a gravel and place a torch but if you switch it fast enough the gravel won’t actually fall. Bedrocks tick speed is not fast enough to create the zero tick pulse generator but the block replacement from piston block to extended piston is less than a tick. Because Java has 0 tick redstone update, it can see the piston disappear and reappear in real-time. That’s why i think anyway.

as far as i know the one closer to the border is actually pushed into the border. you can still see it in its glitched state but you cannot break it cause it no longer actually exists and if you relog it will be gone

Bedrock Redstone causes it to be more random because of tick timing while Java is strength dependant 7:50 In Java edition BEFORE 1.16(I think this version), pistons break Redstone and in 1.16, if the piston is facing down, it won't break but the piston would turn into a transparent block, so what happened was that the first redstone right next to the torch got activated first and activated the piston that broke the redstone above the piston and never got activated and never activated the others

7:53 The redstone got destroyed because extended pistons aren't full blocks. Redstone requires a full block underneath it, which is why you can't place it on extended pistons, bottom slabs, carpets, stairs, etc.

The reason the red stone on top of the pistons broke is because if red stone is on top of a piston and the piston extends the red stone breaks. This also works with buttons

I have a theory about th world border glitch I think that when you push the block into the border, the blocks textures and entity hit box (how you see and walk on the block )stay inside the border, and the block hit box (how other blocks know not to go there because that space is filled) is deleted or even moved outside the border. A few things I want to see tested: can you pull the glitched block with a sticky piston, and if you expand the world border or teleport behind it, can you find the block hitbox

Explanation: when a slab or stair pushes a block across the world border the stair/slab renders on top of the other block (reason for the z-fighting on the purported stairs) If the world border were to be changed the block would move to where it’s supposed to be as if it had just been pushed

I believe that the thing with the pistons is related to bud power. The reason why the Redstone broke is that when a piston is extended it stops being a full block, and Redstone dust can only be on a full block or top slab.

i think that the reason it does not work with the slabs is cause of the hitboxes; if i am right there are multiple hitboxes for different things so a slab would be treated by other blocks as a full block but to a player it does not. The reason it formed a block at the border is just something with the game coding and the two blocks were able to reside in the same spot. (I'm no expert with how this stuff works so if something doesn't make since coding wise i just didn't know.)
