Is this AI Coach Worth It for Beginner YouTube Channels

Thanks James. I think there's still a lot of room for improvement with some of the AI Tools. They aren't quite there yet as they are still somewhat generic. I think the AI Coach has a lot of upside once the LLMs that it rides on top of get better. For free vidIQ users, there's some value in understanding other channel's outlier videos and also some of the keyword research options. I'm still learning though.

@@Ty_Myers I find outliers videos from other channels pages. To be honest I can't afford VidIQ boost. I also only really look for outliers from channels in the less than 20,000 subscribers mark as that's where I'm looking to head for. The biggies are too far away for me to learn from me - they operate on a different plane. I've got to be honest, I'm old and I don't like AI the use of AI much. I've tried Chat GPT, but the results it gives always seem too formal for me.

I agree James, often times the results are too formal and not in our own unique voice so if we were to use say something like a script for example, it would have to be heavily re-worded. I use it mostly for ideation and writing video descriptions and coming up with keywords.

@@Ty_Myers I've gone away from writing scripts since we did the course. I now bulletpoint and just speak freely about whatever it is. I've found it much easier to come across and the authentic me, which was my aim. I use it to give me ideas for video titles or thumbnail titles.

Very interesting. I’m starting to see these AI tools used in the Instagram space, including content creation which I have mixed feelings about..

There's a lot of "faceless" youtube channels out there where the visuals/b-roll are 100% AI generated, the script is written by AI and voice narration is AI. Some of them are doing quite well but I think it's niche dependent. I think we're still a ways off before AI completely takes over.

@Ty_Myers I use it to record my content, it does have a streaming option but I think you have to link it to other software. I watched 3 videos tonight on how to make the circle, all were too fast.

Ahh, I have it downloaded by I never used it. I use Screenflow to capture my screen and also my iPhone to record my talking-head video. I then put both into CapCut and then edit the talking-head portion to be a small circle with a grey background behind it. It's a little tricky to learn but after a few videos I think I've got it down. Have you tried CapCut?

I'm so OLD school it's hard for me to use AI. It seems like someone else is writing my story. That said, I watch loads of videos that basically tell me the same thing. I.E. use sound affects, ask questions. use graphics... . I also watch videos about my niche to get ideas.

I don't think it's necessary at this point personally, but it can be a big help for those inclined to give it a try.

​@@Ty_Myers I'm commenting from my second page that I started to test my theory. I have posted only long form videos on @TheOtherBeekeeper since it started.The result shows posting only long form videos get 3 times the public watch hours as @richardhyatt-beekeeper where I post long form and shorts. So, I'm convinced shorts get more subs; I'm convinced posting only long form gets more public watch time. I have added a 50 subs in the last 7 days posting only shorts to @richardhyatt-beekeeping. This indicates that shorts get subs. Posting both is hit and miss but, I think posting shorts does slow down getting watch time. Since I have long from and short form on @richardhyatt-beekeeper, I gained public watch time even though, I only posted shorts and haven't posted any long from in a couple weeks. Old videos conitinue to be watched.
