I recently bought a used TC RK for what I feel was a fair price for what it was. Since buying it, I have put about as much into the engine/frame as I paid for it which is more than it is worth on the open market. That doesn't bother me in the least because I know I have good, solid, dependable machine for a fraction of what a new bike would cost. I think whatever you have into Maxwell is irrelevant as long as you have something you can ride, love, and be proud of.

Hot Rods and choppers. Worth everything to you but you will never get back what you put into them. Maybe that's why they say it's a labor of love ❤️ 👍

Can you put a dye in the Harley oil to change the Color?

10-12k to a stranger? Probably not. To you? Hell yeah. Same can be said for my '57 FL. I have enjoyed all these build/rebuild videos. God Bless y'all.

You are right on!! Not having any mechanic background... I'm lost in this build! So thankful for the friendship & knowledge of Larry! Fully trust him!!

Was your first trip on a harley with adam on a borrowed bike ?
@TheOrneryOne6 ай бұрын
No I've had this ole Harley for many years before that. It was the first bagger that I had ever rode.... jumped on it & rode it to Arizona.

I always wanted to rebuild my old bikes, but couldn’t afford it, then I bought a brand new night train 2004, sold it 2005 because it was boring, to perfect, a rebuild bike for me would be worth so much more,
@TheOrneryOne6 ай бұрын
Yeah!! I knew that Maxwell House would need some attention but honestly didn't realize it was going to be the whole damn bike!!!
@JONNIE_ROCKER6 ай бұрын
@@TheOrneryOne it was quite expensive, and you already have $4500 to Larry for labor, and that’s the hardest part

U got a 4 thousand dollar baker trans given to you???? You lucky bastard....good grief. Don't get like cycle fanatix now dude ok.....can't wait to see your masterpiece done and running man....
@TheOrneryOne6 ай бұрын
hey there! Yes & No... we want to be very honest and upfront with our KZbin channel and especially this build. As rebuilding an older bike isn't as easy or will be more costly than a newer build. We traveled up there & build the transmission in house with them. This is a partnership that we have been working towards & growing over 2024. The folks at Baker are so down to earth & we couldn't be happier to be teamed up with them!!

If a sponsor paid for my shit I'd do anything to my bike
@TheOrneryOne6 ай бұрын
Yeah lol if it was just that easy!! The transmission was on a partnership collaboration or I wouldn't have been able to afford it right away! Steph would probably make me save up for it which would take awhile at my rate. lol

That bike is worth more than money.There is too much of your life in that bike. It will be great when you pass it on to your son.
@TheOrneryOne6 ай бұрын
Thank you for saying that!! It is a reminder that I need to remember myself when I start to get overwhelmed by the price & labor!

I previously commented recommending the all balls one piece jackshaft. I withdraw that comment. The all balls jackshaft is a piece of sh it. Go with stock. Thanks for allowing comments.
