In this video I review a crochet kit from Instacraft that you can find on Amazon (link below) to see if it is worth buying. There are so many crochet kits out there today that it is hard to know which one is worth it and which one is a dud. I'll walk you through what is included in the kit and how easy it is to use and whether it is beginner friendly. If you have been considering getting this kit, watch until the end to find out if it's a good fit for your next project. Let me know your thoughts in the comments and if there are any kits you would like me to review next. Spoiler, I was pleasantly surprised by this kit. Watch the full video to find out what I like and dislike from this kit.

I have used a seam ripper either as scissors when I cannot find mine. It’s also helpful if you’re wanting to cut a thread when making Amigarumi. An example would be didn’t like the arm placement couldn’t get my thread snips in so used the seam ripper. Although not what I’d put in a crochet kit. The bend things and stitch holders are generally for knitting cables and most new knitters aren’t doing cables to start and would prefer other options. I’d actually like to see a this marketed as a bistitchary kit removing the row counters, cable needles, thimble and seam ripper. Instead including a couple of circular knitting needles even if it means a few less hook sizes as well. If you had a few sizes up and down from the recommended size for the included yarn. Hear me out a lot of people start with one and then want to learn the other anyway. By having a few knit and crochet squares along with the needles and hooks it’s a real beginner kit. Also most people quickly find hooks and yarns they prefer never using half the sizes in the kit. With the purchase of a few DK/8 ply skein of yarn it can be passed on to another beginner because inevitably we all make our own perfect kit and abandon the purchased kit. Sometimes I think beginner kits have too much stuff that confuse people because it’s never used by beginners or for the craft that the kit is advertised for. I also wonder how many of these so called beginner kids are made by crafters who understand or remember what it was like to be a beginner.

I didn’t think of using the seam ripper in that way but that’s a good point. I like the idea of making it knit/crochet because you are right how do you know your preferred craft if you don’t give them both a try. I like to try to knit but crochet is currently still my favorite. Though that may change in the future. Thank you so much for your opinions and for commenting!

Thank you. I travel (truck driver) for work so my background changes a lot sadly. This one was a nice one at an Airbnb I was staying at.

Hello Not sure how I found you but great video except the music in the background. It's not necessary and a distraction. New sub, fellow driver for a living (school bus, 25 years)

@ welcome to the channel. Thank you for your input. It is something new I added, most if not all my older videos don’t have it. So I do appreciate the feedback. I am tying some new editing tips I found. I may only add music to silent moments going forward. Thanks again!

That’s good, I feel like with anyone new to the craft they would be a bit confused with those. At least there is a guide that tells you what everything is, that is helpful!
