It survived my 'questionable' driving and the 'cogging' I show at the end seems to be just how it is. I think the motor struggles at very low RPM's. I stripped it down and found nothing wrong. So we are good to go for round 2!!!!

It was really windy, so apologies for some of the muffled audio (the GoPro is really good at reducing wind noise, but it reduces the quality)

I just got one of these a couple days ago, first rc truck in 15 years! I got involved in FPV drone racing 3-4 years ago and never even thought of another rc truck...until I found your videos! I agree with the thicker shock oil, I'm heading to my LHS this week to pick up a few different weights, and a new set of stock axles. Thanks Tomley for getting me back into the surface vehicles! And my dog, a border collie, absolutely LOVES the speed of this thing, he finally has something he can chase and actually work for.

Arrma is the best. In my experience with the Kraton and the Outcast, I have gotten exactly what I paid for. My heart accelerates along with the vehicle. That Felony is 1st on the list. Arrma or nothing for me when it comes to bashing.

Just purchased this last night! I am so excited to try it out tonight at the skate park and some good parking lots in town here. It’s my first high quality RC that I’ve owned. Recently got into the hobby and started with toy grade RCs but got bored quickly . Jumped up to 2 of the Bezgar hobby grade 4x4 trucks from amazon and did a couple of upgrades on them.. Tons of fun and a great introduction, but last night I got one of these bad boys from Arrma and I’m looking forward to doing proper stunts like you’ve shown here in the video. Great Trucks !! I put some FT 42.5 Silicone Shock Fluid in my shocks and it stopped the chassis slap and improved steering plus no more bounce .

I have the v2 bigrock. I put some gpm drive shafts on it and the typhoon arms an now it's a beast . With 17mm 1/8 scale ZD monster truck wheels on its fast and jumps for fun . Have fun with your bigrock I have had mine for months and abuse it an up till now nothing has broken. Keep the vids coming I enjoy watching

Man I love these trucks they should of called this truck the arrma big rock spider as that's what it reminds me of the way it jumps and lands like when you did the first back flip and landed two flat the truck just lands so planted like a spider when it jumps awesome though man definitely got two get one 👍👍👍

Looks pretty cool. I still think the Redcat Kaiju is my favorite 2020 RC and best overall value of any I own. Second is my Axial SCX24. I haven't driven the Gen8 Axe enough to have a strong opinion yet. Got sidetracked building the Jurassic mini crawler course. Been too hot to go out anywhere further than my back yard. lol

Phil you know by now I'm buggy for Bug bodies, they land on their feet! for this Big Rock they might have to do an actual 1/7 scale body to be a nice fit and have it roll upright nicely.. and to be wide enough for it.

I feel it's all a matter of what kind of RC you like. As far as trucks, I agree 100%, again, I love my Granite! I also feel that the Losi LazerNut is a great all around basher. I k ow it's a rock racer but that doesn't mean that's all it can be used for. I think they both are right up there together as bashers and it really only leaves what "LOOK" you like to determine which 1 to go with. If you have that Tomley $$, just buy both...lol..jk..they are both great bashers though, I feel. Then REDCAT has their new MT10 truck they may be a competitor. Time will tell on that. Great video, great subject. Keep up the good work.

@@TomleyRC I understand that. I will say that the HOSS is still a good truck. It is just way overpriced. It also needs a fan for the motor and some people have had issues with the battery strap. I think it was made with kids as the audience too. I wouldn't buy 1 myself, they are just to many other good choices from lots of different brands. But, that's just my perspective about it. I don't want people thinking I just hat on Traxxas, I try to give them the credit they deserve. To much $$ and issues==Not for me!! I have enough issues already..lol!

I want the arma felony but the BIG ROCK I’m kinda thinking might be better for every day use I hear people saying those hoons tires are good but don’t last to many runs . I’ve have seen some ridiculous burnouts too lol ....would they go bald from just speedruns?

The issue with the tyres is because the camber is way to 'negative'... so needs adjusting. And everyone seems to just do burnouts with them lol. I've not run mine yet, but I'm sure they'll last longer than 1 run if you adjust the camber and don't do loads of burnouts!

As for the tires goin slick on the felony both my fronts lasted 2 battery packs and i only did speed runs rear has lasted around 6 runs the fronts wheels where warped i made a few adjustments hasnt helped much tho the hoons tires on the felony or infraction wont last long period i just picked up 3 pks of fronts 3 pks of rears costing around 225 bucks and those will last less than 15 runs if im lucky felony is a cool rc but the cost of up keep on tires is reason to stay away from the felony to be honest from my results

Got a Arrma big rock for Christmas after watching yours and others videos bashing the absolute shit out of this car helped me decide. I took my brand new big rock out yesterday and didn't even get through one lipo. I was only at 75% throttle in a unused car park with a little rough area that had a tiny jump where I was getting about 12 inches of air. Before the 1st driving session reached 20mins the rear right suspension arm had broken where the hinge pin goes through the hub and has the retaining hex screw. I know its not an expensive part but I'm totally disappointed with the durability of my vehicle here. It was 4 degrees Celsius so I know plastic can become brittle over time in the cold but to not even last 20mins with conservative driving is shit as far as I'm concerned. What are your thoughts about this?

Sounds like maybe you had a dodgy rear arm. Mines cartwheeled at 50mph and like you've maybe seen... survived a Skate park. The arms shouldn't break that easy
