How does it look at night? Looks washed out AF - but the room looked pretty bright when you closed your curtains...

It looks a little bit better in pure darkness but not a ton better. It definitely isn't the brightest. I think I'm going to do another video with just test footage like someone suggested too. It is serviceable at night though. Thanks for watching, I appreciate you stopping by 👍

if its looking washed out make sure you have it set to 16-235. mine was set to 0-255 out of the box which is for PC use really and will make movies look washy.

i have this and used it well for 2 years at university but after the first year there was a burn mark, i assume from the lamp, that just got bigger. can i replace the bulb somehow or do you have any other ideas or should i just recycle it?

I think unfortunately it's a goner. On these models, the bulbs are not really worth replacing, even if you can do it. It's probably best to find another one or upgrade now to something native 1080p maybe as those are now more affordable too.
